Today, the Kiwanis Club of East St. Mary celebrated 40 years of service to our community at the Petroleum Club of Morgan City. Forty years of investing in kids, families, and the future of Berwick, Morgan City, and all of St. Mary Parish. That is a legacy worth celebrating.
We were honored to have Mayor Lee Dragna of Morgan City and Mayor Duval Arthur of Berwick join us, along with Elisabeth Chaisson, President of the St. Mary Chamber of Commerce, who all spoke beautifully about the impact our club has had on this community. We also took time to recognize members with well-deserved thank yous and awards for their service.
A huge thank you to our 2025-2026 Board of Directors for leading us into this milestone year:
Angela Kraemer, President
Duval Arthur III, Vice President
Travis Richard, Treasurer
Debbie Stevens, Secretary
Brian Thorguson, Immediate Past President
Jason Pye, Legacy Board Member
Lud Henry, Board Member
Sadie Rankin, Board Member
Gregory Guarisco, Board Member
To every member, past and present, who has poured into this club over the last four decades, thank you. Especially our only charter member that is still active today, Mr. Timothy Matte. Forty years of service. A legacy of impact. Together, we make a difference.
Want to be part of the next 40 years? Ask any member for an application or message us directly. New members are always welcome.
