What an incredible week! ❤️

We are so proud of our mentee, Lennox M., for taking advantage of an amazing opportunity through our partner, the WHD Foundation. With the encouragement of Ms. Pennie, Lennox applied to the Summer Bridge Program at Hampden-Sydney College and was accepted!

For four days, Lennox had the opportunity to experience college life firsthand on a beautiful campus, meet new people, learn, grow, and see what's possible for his future. Even better, the entire experience was all expenses paid.

A heartfelt thank you to Desiree Nicholson and Ed Devine at Hampden-Sydney College for welcoming Lennox with such care and for the time, energy, and dedication you pour into creating life-changing opportunities for young people. Your investment in our youth truly makes a difference.

A very special thank you to Ms. Pennie and the WHD Foundation for believing in our students and continually opening doors that help them dream bigger and reach higher.

What an amazing time at our 1st Annual Play Black Wall Street Event! 🎉✨ We were so excited to bring together our young men, families, and friends for an unforgettable day of fun, learning, and community. It was beautiful to see everyone come out to support, connect, and enjoy such a meaningful experience together. From laughter and friendly competition to lessons in entrepreneurship, finances, and teamwork, the energy in the room was truly inspiring.

Thank you to all the families, friends, and community members who joined us and made our first annual event such a success. Your presence and support mean so much to the M.A.S.T.E.R.S Program. 🌎♻️ Community Recycling Drive – Support Our M.A.S.T.E.R.S Mentees! ♻️🌎

The young men of The M.A.S.T.E.R.S Program are working hard to raise funds for their graduation trip to Knott’s Berry Farm, and they need the support of our community!

From March 21 – April 18, our mentees will be collecting unwanted aluminum cans, plastic bottles, and beverage recyclables from friends, family, neighbors, and community members.

This fundraiser is more than recycling — it’s about teaching responsibility, teamwork, and community engagement while helping our mentees reach their goal.

💚 How You Can Help:

The M.A.S.T.E.R.S Program (Mindset • Aspiring • Successful • Trailblazer • Elevate • Responsible • Solidarity) is seeking a local beauty or barber supply business to partner with us in sponsoring 13 young men with professional barber supplies.
We are hosting 5 hands-on barber workshops, led by a local independent barber, where our boys (ages 10–18) will learn:
• Hair cutting fundamentals
• Barbering skills
• Proper tool sanitation
• Grooming confidence
• How to care for and maintain African American hair
What We’re Asking For:
Donations or sponsorship of barber starter supplies such as:

✔ Guards, blades & clipper oil
✔ Combs, brushes & shears
