How does our food giveaway work on Sundays?

We do not know the amount of food poundage until the day we pick it up, which is that Sunday.
We ask people to bring about six grocery bags. How many get filled is based on what you choose; if you choose an apple versus a steak there’s a big difference in packaging and the actual food size.
You will sign in at the front.
You need your ID.
Please bring your bag and a mask to wear inside.
Get signed in and you will get a number (that is your number in line).
In future dates, you will be given an ID and a photo will be taken.. that ID will be universal with the Nonprofits. It has a permanent number that will help you through all the resources that’s provided within the Nonprofits. That will probably come an effect in the next three weeks.
When you enter inside, we ask you to put your mask on, get your bags ready, Each station has a Volunteer who will ask you what would you like and let you know how many items you can choose. The Volunteer will pick the item up and put them in your bag.
It will be set up similar to grocery store. You have vegetables in one area., fruit and another, meat, bread, sweets, meals, so on
On Sundays, you even get bouquets of flowers when we receive them.
Everything is free.
We do ask if you’re able to to make a donation to help cover our gasoline and expenses.That is a donation of your choosing.
We give the first mask free after that it is a fee. We have to place a fee on masks because people do not bring them and expect us to pay for it and there’s just no funding for that. Again, we give the first one free. So to avoid that cost, please save that first one and use it when you come see us.
Please bring a chair, umbrella, water or whatever it’s going to make you comfortable while you wait for your turn.
We serve food rain or shine, even in days it’s 115°
We do ask that you give respect to our volunteers. Anybody that’s rude will be told to leave and we will not serve them.
We reserve the right to not serve.
The VFW has a breakfast. Their fee is seven dollars. That comes with eggs, meat, toast, and coffee that starts at 10. That is in the same building we’re setting up in and you’re welcome to enjoy what they offer.
But please make sure you get your name on the sign in list. And that will be the lady at the table by the door on the outside.
