The American Muslim family is diverse in many different ways: ethnically, linguistically, ideologically, socially and economically. The richness of this diversity has contributed to the making of our community. As members of the Inland Empire Muslim community, we recognized the immediate need to establish a professional organization to deal with the social issues related to the daily challenges th

at individuals and families face. The MFF-IE was founded as a non-profit organization in 2015, and a board was appointed to carry out the mission and the goals of this organization. The MFF-IE is a full social service organization that primarily, but not exclusively, serves the needs of the Inland Empire Muslim Communities.

🕊️ Standing Together in Compassion and Healing

Our hearts are heavy as we learn of the tragic events in San Diego. We extend our deepest condolences to all those affected and pray for peace, comfort, and healing for the victims, their families, and the entire community.

In moments like these, it’s important that we come together with empathy, support, and care. If you or someone you know is feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or in need of emotional support, Muslim Family Foundation is here for you. We offer confidential mental‑health and wellbeing referral services to help connect you with the right resources.

🌿 Referral Support: https://www.muslimfamilyfoundation.org/referral

For those who wish to offer financial support to the victims and their families, contributions may be made through the official GoodBricks support fund:

May our compassion, unity, and prayers bring comfort and strength to all who are grieving. 🤍

We’re often taught to ignore certain struggles because they don’t seem “serious enough”. But mental health doesn’t have to reach a breaking point before it deserves attention. 💭

Dr. Kathleen Sarmiento of Transformational Family Counseling shares a reminder that the little things we constantly brush aside can build up over time. Taking your emotions seriously, checking in with yourself, and asking for support when needed all matter. 💚

Mental health struggles do not make someone weak in faith. Even the Prophets experienced deep sadness and emotional hardship.

As Muslims, seeking help and treatment is not a sign of failure. We are encouraged to take the means toward healing while trusting that the ultimate cure comes from Allah. ☝️

This Mental Health Awareness Month, let’s continue breaking stigma, creating safe spaces for conversation, and reminding our community that support, treatment, and compassion matter. 🤍

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

At Muslim Family Foundation, we recognize the importance of caring for our mental and emotional well-being, just as much as our physical health. Seeking support is not a weakness; it’s a step toward healing, growth, and resilience.

Let’s continue to break the stigma, uplift one another, and create spaces where our community feels safe to speak, share, and seek help.

You are not alone. 🤍
