The organizers for the Newnan Porchfest have canceled the event for tomorrow, Saturday, May 30. The pending severe weather / thunderstorms were enough for them to look for an alternate but undecided date in the future. Stay tuned. SEGA will be there for a pack walk pending the new event date and time.

Did you hear something from your seat in coach on your British Airways flight to Atlanta in March? Probably not — you can’t hear things from the cargo hold — but you may be surprised to learn that SEGA and the Irish Retired Greyhound Trust bring Irish adoptable Greyhounds over via passenger jets to the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. They are carefully and safely crated for transport and arrive into the welcoming arms of our volunteer greeters and bathers (after processing). One of May’s hounds is Peaches, pictured here at the Blur of Fur from Greyfest. Peaches was adopted locally in the Atlanta area after one of our Aussie hound hauls via Greyhounds As Pets in New South Wales. Every bag of treats results in a $5 donation to the corresponding organization. Each order is a 1 pound bag of treats. Treat flavors vary based on what's been freshly baked.

Thanks to all the volunteers who turned out to help accept the hounds at our Acworth kennel and get them bathed before profiling. Our fantastic Screening & Placement team is currently rehoming these Greyhounds all over our service area — metro Atlanta, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama and the Carolinas.
