Fighting Spiritual Warfare
Spiritual warfare is the unseen battle that every believer faces. The Bible teaches us that our struggle is not against people, circumstances, or earthly enemies, but against spiritual forces that seek to weaken our faith and separate us from God.
Ephesians 6:12 (KJV) says, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
Because the battle is spiritual, our weapons must be spiritual. God has given us the armor of God: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
The enemy attacks through deception, fear, temptation, discouragement, and doubt. Jesus overcame Satan in the wilderness not by human strength, but by declaring, “It is written.” The Word of God is our sword, and prayer is our communication with the Commander of the battle.
James 4:7 (KJV) tells us, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” Victory begins with surrendering to God and standing firmly in His power.
We do not fight for victory; we fight from a place of victory because Christ has already defeated the enemy through the cross and resurrection.
Romans 8:37 (KJV) reminds us, “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”
A prepared believer is not one who never faces battles, but one who knows who fights beside them. When we stand in faith, walk in obedience, and remain covered by God’s presence, no weapon formed against us can overcome the purpose God has placed on our lives.
Have a blessed day.
