OOPS! I made a mistake on the dates for the registered ATA dates: The correct dates are Saturday, the 12th and Saturday, the 19th instead of the 20th. Sorry for any confusion and thanks, Rusty for catching my mistake! Both shoots will start at 10:00 am at the Club.

April 3: Practice 2 April 10: Practice 3 April 13: Reserve Week begins April 14: Conference announced and State Tournament registration opens April 20: Competition Week 1 begins (for Rowan county it will be April 24) April 27: Competition Week 2 begins. May 1: State Tournament registration closes at NOON-CENTRAL TIME (1:00 pm our time) May 4: Competition Week 3 begins May 11: Competition Week 4 begins. May 18: Competition Week 5 begins May 25: Fun Week begins May 26: Season final results posted by 5:00 pm Central Time May 27: National Championship Registration begins for TIER 1 May 29: National Championship Registration opens for TIER 2 (if applicable) June 3: National Championship Registration opens for TIER 3 (if applicable June 7: State Tournament at Central Kentucky Gun Club JULY 9-13: NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP IN MASON, MICHIGAN

A REMINDER: The dates listed for “begins” are Sundays while our team shoots on Thursdays so plan accordingly. Any practices or competitions will be done on Thursdays for our team. Any other dates, such as tournaments will be on the actual date listed.

The spring season for the Rowan County 4-H Sharpshooters will be getting underway! Registration will be this evening-see poster for details. Whether you are a beginner or a retuning member, come and join for some fun!

A reminder that there will be the Youth Shoot tomorrow at the Club. As the season is beginning for the Rowan County High School and next week is the first practice, come to the Youth Shoot tomorrow to get sighted in and get back in the groove! It is open to anyone between the ages of 9 to 19, you do not need to be a Rowan county resident and it is free to shoot. We only ask that you bring your shotgun(s), ammo and a case of orange clay targets. The Shoot begins at 10:00 am and hope to see you in the morning to have some fun!

Hey, Rowan County Senior High School Clay Target League will be having the mandatory safety training tomorrow evening, 6:00 pm, at the Sportsman’s Club. Practice will begin next week and you must receive the training before being allowed to participate. Safety First! Come out and enjoy the sport and being part of a team while excelling individually.

The Rowan County 4-H Sharpshooters will be holding an ONLY coaches meeting to begin planning for the upcoming season. The meeting will be MONDAY at 6:30 pm at the Club.

Are you ready? The Rowan County Senior High School Clay Target Team will be holding a welcoming meeting this Thursday at 6:00pm at the Club. All new and returning shooters will need to attend to begin registration paperwork. Any Rowan County student of good standing between 6th and 12th grades may participate. All practices are held at the Club. Come out and meet with the coaches and students to begin your trap shooting adventure!

Despite the weather, we had 9 brave shooters at the Youth Shoot today! The scores were great and it goes to show that the more you practice, the better you become. The next Youth Shoot is scheduled for March 22nd and hopefully it will be warmer!

Hey, boys and girls! We are planning on another Youth Shoot for this Saturday, 2/22, 10:00 am at the Sportsman’s Club. If you are 9 to 19 years of age, join us to get some practice in for the upcoming season or just have some fun! Bring your shotgun(s), shells and a case of solid orange clay targets. Again, let’s hope Mother Nature can let this happen! We are planning another Youth Shoot on March 22nd for which we will update. Come out this Saturday!
