Evening friends! We wanted to make sure to get some eyes MoreLove 's FIRST FUNDRAISING EVENT!!! Our Ole will be there representing KSEC and has also donated a piece of their artwork for the silent auction. We would love to have as many folks as possible to come out and support this wonderful group doing work in Morehead. Funding goes to their programming like Free Yardsales and their Transgender Adult Support Group and their mutual aid efforts. The event will take place this Sunday, August 9th at 2pm at the and admission is $10 . A photo of the full schedule is included in the post. We hope to see you! Happy Monday Everyone! With Catalyst coming up next week we noticed we needed help with a few items to make things run smoothly. Currently we are seeking donations of food items and volunteers to help with cooking duties.
Items needed:
-potatoes
-taco supplies
- cake mixes/ cookie mixes/ other dessert items
-canned vegetables
-fresh fruit and vegetables
-snack foods
- n95 masks

We know all around us, the needs are growing and our challenge is to get stronger at meeting those needs with mutual aid. Though it can’t all be met with online asks and we have plans to get more creative, but for now we think we can meet this need! WE GOT EACH OTHER

No, Kentucky is not about to quietly declare trans people "mentally ill." And no, trans teachers are not about to get silently kicked out of the classroom.

We know, because we're actually here. We've been covering the 2026 legislative session all year, we have sources on the ground, and we know how this process works.

National outlets got this one wrong. We broke down exactly what's happening with HB 759 and why -- and yes, we're still watching, because Frankfort can be sneaky.

“Can you make a quick call to oppose SB 100?

Among other things this bill would give more power and less oversight to the EPIC committee and take away power from the Public Service Commission and community advocates working towards energy affordability and renewables in KY.”

Last week the legislature tried to make it impossible for community advocates (like us) to intervene in utility cases at the Public Service Commission. Thanks to every single one of you who took the time to call and email SECTION 2 of SB 8 has been removed!

Now, we need to turn our attention to SB 100, which is a power grab for the recently created EPIC commission aimed to limit the PSC from making "least cost" decisions for our energy future and giving fossil fuels an unfair advantage over more affordable and safer choices.

Among other things, SB 100 removes important oversight and makes EPIC exempt from the Kentucky Opens Records Act!
