Pack 404 proudly hosted an All-American Pack Graduation, celebrating both the achievements of our Cub Scouts and the spirit of America 250! 🇺🇸

As our nation prepares to commemorate 250 years of freedom, leadership, and service, we gathered to recognize the hard work, growth, and accomplishments of each scout throughout the year. Every Cub Scout was honored for the rank they earned and proudly crossed over into the next den, marking an important milestone in their Scouting journey with Scouting America.

During the ceremony, Mr. James reflected on the values upon which our country was founded and challenged our scouts to carry those principles forward in their everyday lives. Just as generations before them helped shape our nation, today's Cub Scouts are developing the skills and character needed to help build America's future.

Congratulations to all of our cub scouts on being founding members of Pack 404 and completing a successful year of scouting! We are proud of their achievements and excited to start collecting stamps in their Summertime Fun Passports! As we celebrate America 250, we are reminded that the future of our nation shines brightly through the leadership, citizenship, and service of these young scouts. ⭐🇺🇸

As America commemorates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Scouting America launched the Liberty in Action: 250th Anniversary Challenge to inspire Scouts to explore what citizenship, service, and community mean today. Pack 404 proudly completed the challenge and had a lot of fun doing so!

During Scoutoree, Mr. James took our Scouts on a virtual tour of Moores Creek National Battlefield, where they learned about the first decisive Patriot victory of the American Revolution. Additional activities brought history to life in hands-on ways. Scouts worked together to “Build the American Dream,” practiced being prepared to help others, rolled beeswax candles, churned butter, and sampled their homemade butter on fresh sourdough bread. Throughout every activity, our Scouts showed creativity and teamwork.

Pack 404 completed two service projects that reflected the ideals of both America250 and Scouting America — giving back to the community, helping others, honoring Americans who selflessly and bravely defended freedom and demonstrating that citizenship is built through action and service.

Next up: an All-American Pack Graduation! Pack 404 is small but mighty, and we are excited to continue lighting the way in our community!

Pack 404 was proud to serve lunch at Hope Mission of Coastal Carolina on Saturday! From decorating the dining room and greeting guests with smiles, to keeping the sweet tea flowing, our Cub Scouts showed what Scouting America is all about — service, kindness, and community.

🇺🇸 As our start to Memorial Day weekend, we were reminded that giving back and serving others are meaningful ways to honor those who sacrificed for our country. We’re already looking forward to our next Serve Saturday!

🇺🇸Pack 404’s meeting looked a little different last night. We believe Scouting is always best outdoors when given the opportunity. In remembrance of Memorial Day, our Scouts placed American flags in local cemeteries to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Flags were placed on veterans’ graves in two community cemeteries in Davis and Cedar Island.

Memorial Day is an important time to reflect on the sacrifices made for the freedoms we enjoy today. Teaching our youth the meaning of this holiday helps instill respect, gratitude, service, and patriotism- values that are central to Cub Scouts. By taking part in acts of remembrance like this, our Scouts learn the importance of honoring those who served and giving back to their communities.

Pack 404 extends a special thank you to Mr. Farmer Styron (U.S. Coast Guard) for providing the names of veterans in the Cedar Island Cemetery. 🇺🇸

☢️Pack 404 ventured into the radioactive ruins this weekend and rolled into Boomtown 426 with a 🏆 first place victory for our gateway build! Through 🌧️ cold rain, muddy trails, and true wasteland conditions our scouts proved they’re ready to survive the apocalypse — and have an absolute blast doing it. Scouts and scouters took on a variety of activities throughout the weekend, with the ⛏️ mine carts becoming a fan favor across the vault.

👏 A huge shout out goes to our very own Mr. Jordan, who spent the past year carefully planning this epic wasteland gathering. Thanks to an incredible crew of volunteers, the event came together better than a perfectly stocked Vault-tec shelter. 🛠️ Our ever-creative Mrs. Toni designed our award-winning gateway, while Mr. James assembled the arch like a true wasteland engineer. Even our Cub Scouts joined the effort, adding the final touches with perfectly placed wasteland “junk” ☢️🛢️to complete the post-apocalyptic look. The result was absolutely awesome! 💥

Packed 404 survived the storm, conquered Boomtown 426 and returned home victorious. But as every good wasteland wanderer knows, the future is always calling. So fire up the ⚡️ flux capacitor, hit 88 miles per hour, and set the destination for Thunderstruck 2027 — where another adventure awaits somewhere between the Old West, the future, and the unknown. ⏰ Great Scott…we can’t wait! 🔥

☀️🌳Spring is the perfect time for scouts to be outside! Nothing tops nature’s classroom! Painting with berries, and anything but a paint brush, required imaginations and patience. All agreed that a toothbrush blends beautifully! Another group showed their creativity with air dry clay. Their imagination creations were all unique and well thought out! It’s always a blast learning and having fun with these cub scouts! 🍓🪥🖼️ 🦖🌈
