The Rotary Club of Morehead City thanks all attendees and sponsors for the March 6, 2026, Balsam Range Concert sponsored by Wells Family Dentistry that made it possible to donate $9,100.00 for Alzheimer's research and $9,100.00 to Bedtime Blessings for beds to children in need of a good night's sleep. Another $631.00 check will be mailed to the Haywood Advance Foundation to assist struggling businesses. Balsam Range is associated with Haywood County and the damage toll in Haywood County from Hurricane Helene still exists; consequently, as a part of this 2026 concert, a Blackstone grill was a raffle item with all proceeds for Haywood Advancement Foundation.

The Morehead City Rotary Club extends its deepest thanks to everyone who purchased a wreath or donated to Bedtime Blessings. Your generosity enabled us to provide new beds and bedding to 15 children in need in our county and contribute $2500 to the Rotary Lobby at the Carteret Community Theatre. Happy Thanksgiving! Through the Rotary Foundation we impact the world for good. District Governor Andi Young challenged our district clubs to join together and donate $30,000 to the Foundation by December 31st. The Rotary Club of Morehead City took on the challenge and raised over 10% of that goal or $3200 through matching points. We challenge other clubs to beat what our small club of 18 members just did for the Foundation. Andrea Young District 7730 Rotary

Since it was founded more than 100 years ago, the Foundation has spent more than $4 billion on life-changing, sustainable projects.

Col John Sollis USMC Retired presented an outstanding Marine Corps birthday message to the club in advance of the November 10th 250th anniversary of the Marine Corps. As a special surprise he offered a marvelous cake for the traditional birthday cake cutting. A New River Rotarian, Jay's talk was a perfect evening of history and celebration.
