Vision: To be the go-to professionals in Carteret County for Physicians, Cancer fighters, caregivers and survivors to get all non-medical needs met. Mission Statement: We provide cancer
fighters, caregivers and survivors the tools needed to battle the war against cancer with strength, dignity, and courage. Program overview: This program will provide health and wellness services to current and cancer survivors. The target goal of the program is to impact 150 survivors annually with introduction of new survivors into the program occurring on a bi-monthly basis of 12-15 survivors. The survivors will start with a 2 times a week: one-on-one session for 10 weeks then progress into a small group training regimen 2 times a week. Each small group will be a max of 5-6 individuals and this small group phase will last for approximately 16 weeks. The survivor will then graduate into the maintenance group program consisting of 26 weeks of 2 times a week large group training of approximately 8-10 survivors. After 1 year from start date the survivor will have completed the program. We will open the program to survivors currently being treated for cancer. As we grow and when room is available, we will open the program to long- term survivors of cancer or those previously treated for cancer. The survivors in remission will start with small group training and proceed on to large group training. We reserve the one on one training covered financially in this program for those actively and currently being treated for cancer. We feel this group requires the most one-on-one attention to assess energy levels and capabilities on a per session basis. Each survivor after one year of programming may elect to continue on for a nominal fee.
