🧑‍🎨 REMINDER! 🤝 Artists, donate your talents for a good cause! ACCC is once again providing free 3”x 3” mini-canvases for local artists to paint to support our local art teachers 🎨🧑‍🎨

⭐️ PICK UP your canvas(es) at ACCC/CAG Arts Center at 1702 Arendell Street
⭐️ SUBMIT finished work by Saturday, November 7 to ACCC/CAG Arts Center

These special pieces of art will be sold in our gallery during the holiday season and at the December Art Walk in Beaufort for a suggested donation of $10 each. All proceeds go to helping our school art teachers buy supplies for art projects. It's a win-win!

📢 NEW WORKSHOP! Learn drawing techniques by exploring lines, shading, form, light, space, and color. You will learn realistic drawing strategies and practice these throughout the class with warm ups and projects.

Pack a water, lunch, and a snack. Art supplies are included with registration! Class caps out at 8 students, so register now!

🗓️ Join us this upcoming Monday, October 19th, at 10am for our OPEN STUDIO, followed by ART JAMZ at 2pm!

The Arts Council of Carteret County and the Carolina Artist Gallery host a monthly non-instructive creative collective. Take advantage of this opportunity to create with fellow artists in an atmosphere of acceptance and fellowship. Bring all of your materials and a bag lunch, and come learn together!

Can't make it this time?! This opportunity repeats each month on the third Monday - make plans to attend future sessions now!

👉 After Open Studio at 2pm, Art Jamz will provide a network of support; a place to feel connected and confident in your art! It is powerful to have a supportive community to grow with. Come join us for discussion and if you want to bring your art to share, please do! 🖼 Art Jamz is FREE and open to all!

📣 REGISTRATION CLOSING IN 1 WEEK! Join instructor Sarah Joan Grenier for a "No-School-Day" workshop where students will choose from either a Capybara painting or a Minecraft painting to complete. The instructor will walk them through step-by-step instructions to complete their masterpiece.

Just pack a water and lunch. Art supplies are included with registration. Sign up closes October 20!

📢 NEW WORKSHOP! Get in the holiday spirit with a felted snowman ornament! In this three-hour workshop, students will be introduced to the basics of 3D needle felting while learning about the versatility of wool as a sculpting medium! Add all the personality you want as you embellish your felted creation to your heart’s content. Just as in nature, no two snowmen will be alike!

Students will complete one small project in class. No experience necessary; simply bring your imaginations and a smile!

📢 NEW WORKSHOP 📢 Join instructor Karen Van Gamper for a new class that will discuss and demonstrate composition and design. Students will be challenged to create an outline drawing to include items of interest. We will develop dramatic areas of color, saving our whites and mixing colors, creating dark contrast and interesting detail.

Please join us for an enjoyable class with new and old watercolor techniques and a resulting painting with dramatic effects. The bold and beautiful designs will inspire and captivate you with interesting ways to depict everyday subjects.

*When: Thursday-Friday, November 19-20 (10am to 4pm)

📣 CLOSING SATURDAY! “FROM PROCESS TO GALLERY”

The Arts Council of Carteret County is proud to host an Exhibition of art created by the participants in our monthly Open Studio and Art Jamz Critique Sessions. Be sure to join us this Saturday for a closing reception from 3-5pm.

For several years now our local, and sometimes far away, creators have gathered monthly to share ideas, refine their techniques and push the boundaries of their art. Now it’s time to celebrate their journey.

This special exhibition bridges the gap between the raw energy of the studio and the refined space of the Gallery. Come witness a stunning collection of diverse works developed right here in our community space.

* When: Open through Saturday, October 10th during gallery hours (Tue-Sat 11am-5pm)
