🧑‍🎨 ATTENTION ARTISTS! Start preparing now for our upcoming BIRDS OF A FEATHER show, opening in August 🕊️🦅

Birds have captured the attention of artists for hundreds of years. After all, they provide a myriad of colors and shapes, and they exist everywhere we live and everywhere we go. They even inhabit parts of the world where almost nobody goes except for the birds themselves! No matter what medium or style, or whether your focus is realism or interpretation, birds are a great subject for any artist. Bring your love and fascination of birds to life in the form of art to this beautiful show.

Get started on a new piece, finish up the one you are working on or dust off one you have completed recently!

Entries Accepted: Tuesday-Saturday, July 28-August 1
Show Open: August 8-September 19 during Gallery Hours

⏳ FINAL DAYS TO REGISTER! Student artwork drop-off period closes SATURDAY for the upcoming America 250 STUDENT show and contest 🇺🇸

The ACCC is proud to join communities across America in celebrating the 250th anniversary of our nation. This is a unique opportunity for students of Carteret County to participate in a youth art competition. The history of our nation is rich in the beauty of the people whose talents brought life to the arts. Let’s celebrate our heritage.

This competition will be open to all K-12 students in the areas of stories, poetry and art.

🗓️ Join us this upcoming Monday, June 15th, at 10am for our OPEN STUDIO, followed by ART JAMZ at 2pm!

The Arts Council of Carteret County and the Carolina Artist Gallery host a monthly non-instructive creative collective. Take advantage of this opportunity to create with fellow artists in an atmosphere of acceptance and fellowship. Bring all of your materials and a bag lunch, and come learn together!

Can't make it this time?! This opportunity repeats each month on the third Monday - make plans to attend future sessions now!
* Please note: In JULY and AUGUST, Open Studio & Art Jamz will move to Oak Grove Arts, an art gallery owned by Christian Infinito, at 108 Atlantic Beach Causeway, Atlantic Beach (www.oakgrovearts.com). The space was formerly Blue Ocean Seafood Market on the Causeway.

👉 After Open Studio at 2pm, Art Jamz will provide a network of support; a place to feel connected and confident in your art! It is powerful to have a supportive community to grow with. Come join us for discussion and if you want to bring your art to share, please do! 🖼 Art Jamz is FREE and open to all!
