What a great youth deer hunting weekend! We had ten youth out in the woods Saturday. We read Isaiah 55:12 and listened to all the sounds of nature during our hunt. We managed to harvest five does with two of those being first deer. Congratulations Luke and Kai on your first deer!

We are getting excited for deer season and would like to get as many CTO Crystal Coast youth out on deer hunts this season. Prior to hunting there are several things that need to be done. Any youth who plans to participate in a CTO hunt must have the NC Hunter Safety Course completed. All youth (even those under 16 who are exempt from purchasing a hunting license) must get their own big game tags which should be free for youth under 16. If any youth would be interested in bear hunting, this is a good time to request a bear stamp. I would like to see all youth shoot prior to getting them in a hunting stand. We will hold a r***e shooting skills day Sunday 9/20/26 at the CTO HWY 101 lease from 1:00pm - 4:00pm. I would really like to get any youth who have not harvested a deer to attend this event. Any other youth who would like to hunt this season are also welcome to attend. Feel free to bring a r***e and hunting ammo that you plan to use for deer hunting so we can assure accuracy or plan to shoot CTO's r***es. Please sign up and join us!

We will meet at the CTO Hwy 101 lease to shoot r***es and get ready for deer season. I urge all CTO Crystal Coast Youth who would like to deer hunt to attend this event. We will meet at 1:00pm and ...

Today we are working on a renovation project for what will become a nice bunk cabin for CTO hunting and fishing outings. We have a lot of work ahead but this will become a great place to hold CTO outings.

The 9th Annual CTO Crystal Coast Youth Fishing Tournament was a success! We had 175 youth fish in the tournament this year and had some really nice fish brought to the scales. We would like to thank the youth anglers who participated and the adults who took the youth fishing. We would like to thank all the volunteers who worked tirelessly to put this event together. Last and definitely not least, we would like to thank the sponsors who gave financially and supplied product to make this event what it has become!

Please support the businesses that made this youth tournament possible.

These CTO youth had a great day offshore while fishing with CTO Guide Justin Packer. They had a good mixed bag with a blue marlin to finish off the day! Way to go!
