🚨 Flood Relief Supply Distribution Update 🚨

This wish list is just based off of items needed. We do not need these exact items, scents, sizes, etc. any donation is greatly appreciated.

The cleaning supply hub at the Moreauville Fire Station will reopen tomorrow morning for residents affected by the recent flooding.

Due to the high demand for supplies and to ensure assistance reaches those who have been directly impacted, a valid photo ID for proof of residence will be required to receive supplies.

Unfortunately, we have had individuals attempting to obtain supplies who were not affected by the flooding. Our supply inventory is limited, and these resources must be reserved for flood victims and their families.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation as we work to help those in our community who need it most.

We are also continuing to accept donations of cleaning supplies, non-perishable food items, hygiene products, household essentials, and monetary donations. Every donation makes a difference. 🚨 Shelter Open Now: Avoyelles Parish

As Post-tropical Storm Arthur continues to bring heavy rain to Louisiana, the Red Cross has opened an emergency shelter for residents forced from their homes. 🏠❤️

Whoever you are, wherever you're from — if you need a safe place to stay, we're here for you. No ID is required to enter, just your name and where you were living before the flooding. Our doors are open to everyone.

From Louisiana State Fireman’s Association:

Avoyelles Parish has been inundated with flood waters today. Many areas have 4-6 inches of water in homes. No rescues are currently needed! What is needed is cleaning supplies, drinking water and non-perishable food. Please contact Chief Lemoine or Donald Milligan.

SANDBAG AVAILABILITY - MANSURA, LOUISIANA

The Avoyelles Parish Sheriff's Office is sharing information regarding sandbag availability ahead of the expected upcoming severe weather and heavy rainfall.

Sandbags are available for parish residents starting today at the following location:
The Parish Police Jury Barn
2346 Valley Street
Mansura, Louisiana

The Avoyelles Parish Police Jury advises that this is a self-serve location. Residents must fill their own bags, and it is recommended to bring your own shovel.

We ask all residents to take precautions, monitor local weather updates closely, and remain mindful of safety.
