Owasco Valley Farmers Market

It is with much disappointment that we must announce that we will not be holding the Owasco Valley Farmers Market this year.

While our focus has always been on families, we recognize that Saturday markets actually take vendors away from their families, and also that the venue’s insurance requirements prevented many interested vendors from participating.

HOWEVER - the Moravia Farmers Market in front of Kinney’s is now holding an evening market on Tuesdays (in addition to their Thursday daytime markets)! This Tuesday market serves the people we set out to serve, and we are very happy about that. Please check them out on Tuesdays from 4-7pm!

Hi all - we’ve been getting a lot of interest from the community about the Owasco Valley Farmers Market and when it is going to start, so I thought it would be a good idea to post an update:
Unfortunately, we are running into problems finding vendors who are interested in committing time on Saturdays. We are looking into scheduling fewer markets, beginning during the peak of harvest season, so that it isn’t such a big time commitment for vendors. We’ll update again when we have more details. We’re sorry to all who are so looking forward to this market and hope to have good news for you all soon!

Farmers market tomorrow (Saturday 9/18) from 10am to 2pm at the Moravia VFW fairgrounds pavilion! Lots of great products.

Perform 4 Purpose will be joining us with live music from 11am to 1pm. Grilled burgers and dogs available for lunch. Hope to see you there!

Perform 4 Purpose will be providing live music at the farmers market this Saturday (9/18) from 11am to 1pm at the Moravia VFW fairgrounds pavilion! Bring a chair and enjoy the show!

The VFW Auxiliary will be grilling up dogs and burgers for lunch.

The farmers market itself will run from 10am - 2pm as usual, and we’ll have lots of great products - fresh produce, beef, baked goods, flowers, chainsaw carvings, handmade gifts, and more.

The VFW Auxiliary will have grilled hamburgers and hotdogs available for lunch at this Saturday’s market!

The market will be at the Moravia VFW fairgrounds pavilion on Saturday 9/4 from 10am-2pm.

In addition to all our long-time vendors, we also have a new vendor this week selling natural (no antibiotics, no hormones) angus beef. Sheppard farms will have lots of steaks, ground beef, roasts - you name it!

We welcome new vendor at our market this Saturday (9/4) from 10am - 2pm at the Moravia VFW fairgrounds pavilion.

Sheppard Farms will have beef for sale. Their meat is locally-raised black angus, no hormones, no antibiotics, processed by Owasco Meat Co.

Sheppard Farms will have:
- Lots of steaks incl. sirloin, porterhouse, T-bone, NY strip, tenderloin & ribeye (delmonico)
- Roasts, incl. sirloin tip, top round, bottom round & eye round
- Ground beef
- Soup bones & stew meat
- Brisket
- Tri-tip, oxtail & flank steaks
