On the evening of April 30, members from New Hope-NY Fire Department joined with the rest of the departments of that make up the 6th Battalion in Cayuga County, in a joint training drill.
The scenario was that there was a fire and explosion at the Elementary School. Members performed multiple fire suppression skills along with advanced search and rescue skills.
A huge Thank You to the school district for allowing us to use their facilities to practice these skills.
The 6th Battalion is made up of 5 departments. New Hope, Sempronius, West Niles, Moravia and Locke.

Today at 1214 New Hope responded Mutual Aid to Skaneateles in the 2900 block of County Line Rd for a reported structure fire. First unit arrived and confirmed a working structure fire. Over 20 departments from Cayuga and Onondaga counties responded.
