Rancho Laguna Park Clean Up and Fox Tail Removal.
This Saturday, May 2nd 9:A.M to Noon.
The foxtails are back at RLP and before your dog sniffs a dry one, or gets one in his/her eye, paw or other area costing expensive veterinary bills to remove, consider helping with a clean up.
Every year foxtails seem to come back, and every year I hear stories of how much the vet bills were to surgically remove the problems. This year Lamorinda Dogs and the dog owners of Rancho Laguna Park are going to try and get ahead of the nuisance, and we need volunteers who can show up this Saturday Morning to help with w**d whacking, mowing, leaf blowing, raking and the removal of most of the foxtails.
If you can let Jeanne Moreau know if you can help by replying to this e-mail it would be helpfule.
We need people who can bring or loan the following tools to get the job done this Saturday to save on rental Costs from Cresco.
We need
an electric generator (because last year many people said they had electric tools)
w**d whackers (gas or electric)
Shovels, Rakes, pruning loppers, Pitch Forks, w**d pullers, hedge clippers for the Junipers. Perhaps a leaf blower and or one ( with a vacuum Mulch function. )
basically let us know what you can bring so we can figure out what we need to rent on Friday evening for the volunteers with out w**d whackers, and ECT.
Please bring gloves and any tool you think might be helpful.
