Last night, the Moorpark Unified Board of Education recognized Dylan Gunning for his years of service to the Moorpark Education Foundation.

For the past five years, Dylan has been an active member of the nonprofit organization that raises funds to support programs and opportunities for Moorpark students. He also served as the foundation’s president last year, helping guide its work and strengthening its impact across our schools.

During his time with the foundation, Dylan helped bring intramural sports to our middle schools, giving students more opportunities to stay active, build friendships and experience the fun of being part of a team.

Thank you, Dylan, for your dedication to Moorpark students and for helping make our schools and community even stronger.

An extraordinary congratulations to Aidan Marian of Moorpark High School, who has been named a National Merit Scholarship winner—an honor reserved for the top 1% of high school seniors nationwide. Aidan earned the highly competitive National Merit Aerojet Rocketdyne Foundation Scholarship and will attend Purdue University to study Electrical and Computer Engineering. This recognition reflects not only Aidan’s outstanding PSAT performance, but also years of academic excellence, discipline, and determination. Moorpark Unified is incredibly proud of his achievement.
