Lake Agassiz Wind Symphony The Lake Agassiz Wind Symphony is the premier community wind ensemble in the Fargo, ND, and Moorhead, MN and surrounding areas.

The Lake Agassiz Wind Symphony is the premier community concert band in Fargo, ND; Moorhead, MN; and the surrounding area. Members hail from all academic and professional fields, performing challenging wind band literature at the highest level. Most of the members of LAWS played in their college band program and are seeking to keep playing after their collegiate careers. The band rehearses on Sund

ay nights from September until May, playing 3-4 concerts a year. The band also performs at various community events throughout the summer.

Who has been your biggest musical inspiration?
My high school choir teacher always took the time to support and encourage me to be my best whether singing, playing piano, or playing clarinet.

What is your most memorable performance experience?
I was the guest clarinet soloist for the first ND Ambassadors European Tour.

What is a fun fact about you that people might not know?
I am training a mustang horse in my spare time.

Listening to Tim and Tyler tackle a difficult euphonium passage and smiling when they get it!

The fellowship in music.

What is your most memorable performance experience?
Sitting in with Woody Herman’s band while in high school.

What is a fun fact about you that people might not know?
I enjoy touring on motorcycles and have restored an old BMW motorcycle.

When everyone in the group understands when a moment of music is important without it needing to be said with words.

The first time I played with LAWS, I almost cried because it had been a couple years since I graduated, and I didn't realize how much I missed being in a band!

My middle school and high school band teachers are my favorite teachers I've ever had, and they inspired me to want to teach music and keep playing my instrument after college.

What is a fun fact about you that people might not know?
I love to run!
