You won't want to miss the Civitan Club of LKN's 10th Annual Twilight Golf Tournament at the Mooresville Golf Club on Friday, April 17, 2026.

Golf begins at 4:00pm (est.) shotgun start - golfers play 9 holes in daylight, break to enjoy a nice dinner, and then plays the remaining 9 holes in the dark with glow-in-the-dark balls!

Recently the Civitan Club of Lake Norman volunteered at The Kindness Closet in Mooresville, filling hygiene kits for those in need. Thank you to founder and Executive Director, Anne Mautner, for all the great information she provided and for hosting our team that day!

As part of the IUnited Way’s Love United Campaign, the Civitan Club of Lake Norman enjoyed learning about several community initiatives at our meeting last night. Thank you to our guests Jennifer Barraclough with the Iredell Council on Aging, as well as Emily Speece and Amanda Phillips with Kintegra, for sharing your organizations with us! Pictured are Civitan Club Secretary Mitzi McCurdy, Club Pres-Elect Kathy Dunlap, Jennifer Barraclough, Club President Barb King, Emily Speece, and Amanda Phillips. These organizations are great community partners in Iredell County, serving many groups, including pets!

The Civitan Club of Lake Norman is starting out the year by being helpers in the community. Our club supports a number of local organizations that in turn support those in need. The Christian Mission is one such organization. Here are some Civitans out in the world being helpers!

Calling all CIVITANS and supporters of great things happening in the Lake Norman area! Once each year the Lake Norman Special Olympics holds a unique fundraiser called the POLAR PLUNGE. We get together and have fun on the shores of Lake Norman, and we use the event to raise funds and awareness of the Special Olympics program and all that it does for our very special citizens. Your participation is requested! If you can't come out and join us, please consider supporting us with a donation. If you've never been to a Special Olympics event, let me tell you that the expressions that you witness on the faces of these young folks will forever convince you that the program is worth every penny we can raise.

The "Plunge" will take place at the
Yacht Club
297 Yacht Rd
Mooresville, NC 28117 at 3pm on Saturday, February 25th, and our esteemed Civitan member KIM STREB will "plunge" into the frigid lake waters. Festivities began at noon that day!

A lucky player from our Play it Forward Charity Pickleball Event, Tom Fero, won this flight to share with his wife Belinda! Captain Burt Dunlap and his wife, Kathy, enjoyed this fun and special afternoon flight with the Fero's over the mountains in NC. During the flight they were able to fly over their mountain house and their family even got to witness the fly-over from the ground! Look at those smiles! 🥰 This was just one of the many awesome Silent Auction items offered at our annual pickleball event!
