MARINE VETERAN ON OUR 1ST BALANCE THE BATTLE EXPO.
Yesterday,
I went to one of the most meaningful things
I have done for myself recently.
I was going to post several times yesterday,
but I felt being Honest about my experience
felt selfish.
I didn't do it for anyone except me.
I didn't invite anyone,
& even though
I saw friends there,
I didn’t stay too long talking.
Not to mention,
I promised myself to be
"In the Moment"
Which for me as a photographer means
capturing every moment possible.
I didn't do that either.
Instead, I went to the event & besides
The acupuncture,
I let fate or faith guide me.
I didn't get to see everyone.
I didn't rush like I usually do.
I just let the time unfold like I felt it should.
Naturally, Unscheduled & Free Flowing.
I left there feeling lighter than I have in
quite a while.
It was like I came in with a 40 pound pack
& left it at the door.
I was probably the last to leave, but I even
felt that was supposed to happen.
I slept longer than I have in years...
Thank you doesn't even begin to cover what
I want to say or how I feel, but I hope Amanda Morton-Race & all involved know how truly important, special & invaluable yesterday was.

It was an honor to join the Sgt. Anthony Patrick Muhlstadt Foundation at the Defender Ruck again this year. Our friend Tanya Mort, a Marine Mama, has been a beacon of hope in the face of adversity. Following the loss of her son Anthony to su***de in November 2021, Tanya has channeled her grief into a powerful force for change. Her tireless efforts to bring ASIST training to military bases are saving lives and inspiring a new generation of leaders. The overwhelming support for her mission is a testament to her dedication and perseverance.
