Athletes with Disabilities Network NorthEast Chapter

Athletes with Disabilities Network NorthEast Chapter To promote a better quality of life for people with physical disabilities by creating awareness and offering opportunities to get involved with sports

Athletes with Disabilities Network Northeast Chapter will be a private non profit organization serving a community of individuals with physical or visual impairments. The programs focus on mentoring & outreach, with a secondary adaptive sports recreational sports program serving the adaptive community, ages 6 and up, in the Southern Pennsylvania and New Jersey areas. The focus of the program is to

assist individuals with physical and visual impairments through mentoring outreach and sport participation, to promote healthy lifestyle changes after the disabling event, and increase awareness of available trainings and programs. In addition, referrals are made to local, state and private resources for the disabled individuals and their families to assist in their transitioning process. The events we organize assist in both the physical and mental health of the participant and their families by creating opportunities to have interactions in social settings with other disabled community members, families and mentors, which allow the newly injured person to see there is hope and positive progression after facing the loss of a limb, sight spinal cord injury and other injuries.
