🐔 𝐀 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐎𝐮𝐫𝐬

As we officially wrap up our coverage from the State Fair of West Virginia, there is one very important person we want to recognize for the tremendous amount of work that happens behind the scenes each year.

𝘑𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘺 𝘖𝘶𝘳𝘴, 𝘞𝘝 𝘗𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘐𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘈𝘥𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘰𝘳, faithfully takes the lead in making sure the 𝐏𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 is set up and ready to welcome thousands of State Fair visitors.

But his work doesn’t end when the doors open...

Jerry stays throughout the entire two weeks of the State Fair, helping ensure the building is staffed, things run smoothly, and the West Virginia poultry industry is well represented from beginning to end.

Much of the work that makes an event like this successful happens long before visitors arrive and continues after everyone else has gone home. Jerry’s dedication, reliability, and willingness to give so much of his time year after year do not go unnoticed.

🐔 That’s a Wrap from the Poultry Industries Building! 💙💛

Another State Fair of West Virginia is in the books, and we’re sharing a few final snapshots from our time in the Poultry Industries Building!

From welcoming visitors and sharing more about West Virginia’s poultry industry to giving kids an up-close look at the birds (and even the chance to hold a duck! 🦆), it was a busy and memorable couple of weeks.

Closing out the Poultry Industries Building were WVPA members Daryl & DiAnna See along with Rachel & Matt Nelson of Pilgrim’s. Thank you for helping us finish out another great fair!

And an especially big THANK YOU to everyone who volunteered over the past two weeks. From setting up the building before the fair began, to working shifts, caring for the birds, visiting with fairgoers, keeping everything running, and finally tearing it all back down—you made it possible.

We’re incredibly grateful for our WVPA members, poultry industry partners, WVU students, volunteers, exhibitors, and friends who gave their time throughout the fair, as well as everyone who stopped by the Poultry Industries Building to visit us.

🐔 Scenes from the Poultry Industries Building at the WV State Fair!

We’re excited to share a few snapshots from inside the Poultry Industries Building as the State Fair of West Virginia is in full swing!

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by and helped make this year’s exhibit such a success. We were also glad to welcome visitors from the West Virginia Association of Fairs & Festivals—we appreciate your support of West Virginia agriculture and our fair community!

We’re also highlighting Pittman Family Farms, a great example of the strong family farms that help keep West Virginia agriculture thriving.

🐓 The WV State Fair is here, and the Poultry Industries Building is ready for you!

The turkeys and ducks have arrived, and we’re excited to welcome everyone back to the Poultry Industries Building during the State Fair of West Virginia! 🦆

A special thank you to Dr. Joe Moritz and WVU for once again providing the ducks for this year’s exhibit. We also greatly appreciate the WVU Department of Agriculture and the students who are helping us in the Poultry Industries Building until classes begin next week. Their time and support are a tremendous help!

We’re also pleased to have several of our poultry industry partners represented in the building this year, including:

⛳ WV Poultry Week 2026 Memories | Annual Golf Tournament

As we continue wrapping up our WV Poultry Week 2026 recap series, we’re taking a look back at another great tradition—the Annual Golf Tournament!

Golfers gathered for a day of friendly competition, fellowship, and support for West Virginia’s poultry industry. Events like these provide an opportunity to connect with friends, industry partners, and fellow supporters while helping make WV Poultry Week a success year after year.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, donated prizes, sponsored the tournament, and helped behind the scenes. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.

We’d also like to extend a special thank you to Valley View Golf Club for hosting this year’s tournament and providing a wonderful course for our participants.

🎯 We’re Back with Our WV Poultry Week 2026 Recaps!

With Fair Week behind us, we’re excited to get back to sharing some of the great memories from WV Poultry Week 2026 that we haven’t had the chance to highlight yet!

One of those events was the S***t Shoot, Muzzleloader Turkey Shoot, and .22 Long Rifle Shoot held at the Hardy County Rod & Gun Club on Saturday, July 18.

Thank you to everyone who came out to compete, volunteer, and support these longtime Poultry Week traditions. Events like these continue to bring together sportsmen, families, and members of our agricultural community while helping make WV Poultry Week a success year after year.

A special thank you to the Hardy County Rod & Gun Club for hosting the day’s events and to all of the participants who made it such a great day.
