That's 61 years of Head Start making a lasting difference in the lives of children and families across the nation. Since its beginning, Head Start has been committed to supporting school readiness, strengthening families, and ensuring that every child—regardless of circumstance—has access to high-quality early learning experiences. ❤️💙📚

Head Start plays a vital role in shaping bright futures by nurturing early development, promoting health and wellness, and building strong partnerships with families and communities. Last Friday, EACHS Head Start proudly celebrated our MELC II PreK students during their Move-Up Ceremony as they officially took their next big step toward kindergarten! 🎓🍎✨

What a joyful evening it was, celebrating all the growth, laughter, friendships, and accomplishments these wonderful children have shared throughout the year. Our students have learned so much, and we are incredibly proud of how prepared they are for this exciting new journey into kindergarten. ❤️💙

While we are excited to watch them continue to grow and succeed, these sweet faces and bright little smiles will be tremendously missed. They have brought so much happiness and energy to our classroom each day, and their memories will always hold a special place in our hearts. 🌟

A very special recognition goes to Sierra Barb, MELC II Teacher, for her outstanding work during her first year at EACHS Head Start. She has done a wonderful job preparing her students for kindergarten, and her dedication, care, and hard work have truly made a difference in the lives of her students and families. 👏🎉

Due to the weather, EACHS Head Start’s MELC (Moorefield Early Learning Center) End of the Year Celebration scheduled for this evening from 5:00–7:00 PM at Moorefield Town Park has been canceled. 🌧️🌩️⛈️

To ensure the safety of our children, families, and staff, we will reschedule the event. We appreciate your understanding of this decision.

MELC Staff will be contacting families directly with a rescheduled date and additional details once they are confirmed.

EACHS Head Start is proud to congratulate five of our dedicated staff members who graduated from the ACDS Program this past Saturday! 🎓✨

The ACDS (Apprenticeship for Child Development Specialists) Program, offered through Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College, provides early childhood professionals with specialized training and education focused on child development, classroom practices, family engagement, and creating high-quality learning environments for young children. Programs like ACDS are incredibly important to Head Start because they help ensure children receive the very best care, education, and support during their earliest and most important years of development.

We are incredibly proud of our staff for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to continuing their education while serving children and families each day. Their passion for learning directly impacts the success and growth of the children in our program, and we are so grateful for everything they do for EACHS Head Start.

Last Thursday evening, EACHS Head Start proudly celebrated our MELC I PreK students during their Move-Up Ceremony as they officially took their next big step toward kindergarten! 🎓🍎✨

Throughout the year, these little learners have grown in so many ways—making friends, learning new skills, and filling our classrooms with laughter, curiosity, and joy. While we are so excited to see them begin their kindergarten journey, their little smiles will truly be missed each and every day at EACHS Head Start.❤️💙

Our Romney Learning Center was blooming with love and laughter during their special Mother’s Day event!❤️💙🪴

Dads joined their children at the center to create meaningful Mother’s Day gifts by planting flowers and decorating special pots for Mom. The children loved getting their hands dirty alongside Dad while creating something beautiful and heartfelt to take home.

For one morning, the dads traded in their usual routines for “mom duties” — helping little hands plant flowers, clean up soil spills, and make sure every gift was just perfect for Mom!

The event was filled with smiles, laughter, and precious moments as families came together to celebrate the amazing mothers and mother figures in their lives. Thank you to all the dads and family members who helped make this day so special for our children and their moms!❤️💙

☕🌸 You’re Tea-riffic, Mom! 🌸☕

Our EACHS Head Start Cochran Learning Center recently hosted a wonderful "Mother's Day Tea and Cookies" event filled with sweet treats, special moments, and lots of love!🫖🍪

Our classrooms were steeped in laughter, smiles, and meaningful memories as our children celebrated the incredible moms, grandmothers, and mother figures who help them grow each and every day.

At EACHS Head Start, we know there is no stronger blend than the partnership between families and education. Moms are an essential part of our program because they are their child’s first teacher, biggest supporter, and constant source of comfort, encouragement, and love. From helping children build confidence to supporting learning at home, the role moms play is truly quali-tea parenting at its finest!🫖❤️💙

Thank you to all the amazing women who joined us and made the day so special. We are so grateful for the love, support, and care you pour into your children and our EACHS Head Start family every day. Together, we are brewing bright futures for our little learners!

🍽️❤️ Teacher Appreciation Week Kindness Continues ❤️🍽️

A huge THANK YOU to Men of Meats for providing a delicious “make-up” lunch today for the staff at our EACHS Head Start Moorefield Early Learning Center (MELC)!

Originally scheduled for Monday, May 4, to kick off Teacher Appreciation Week, their thoughtful lunch was postponed due to our center's closure. We are so grateful they still took the time to come today and show appreciation for our hardworking staff.

Your generosity, support, and kindness mean so much to our teachers and team members. Thank you for helping make our staff feel valued and celebrated! ❤️💙
