Contrary to belief, rodents don’t die immediately after consuming poison from the countless bait boxes found throughout our towns and cities. Poisoned mice can wander around slowly for hours and sometimes days before dying and are an easy meal for wildlife and our pets.

Birds of prey found sick or deceased often test positive for anticoagulant rodenticide. An estimated 80% of deceased Eagles test positive for rat poison.

That sick, mange-ridden fox you see in your neighborhood is also likely suffering the secondary effects of rat poison because it weakens their immune system making them susceptible to disease and eventual death.

Please research alternatives and help to protect our wildlife. Snap traps are a better option. A single owl can eat more than 1000 rodents in one year.

We need to do better.

The kittens on the cover are 2 years old now. We just found a tiny tabby. His name is Marty. He is all ears and eyes.

Unfortunately we have to put down one of our senior cats. She had a good life full of love and comfort. We shall miss her.
