Chapter Presidents Conference 2026!

We had such a great time kicking off another year of FFA with some of our favorite people! From reconnecting with friends to meeting new chapter leaders, we spent the day learning, growing, and preparing to lead our chapters with purpose.

Our officers participated in workshops focused on conflict resolution, delegation, mentorship, teamwork, and what it truly means to lead. We walked away with new ideas, new perspectives, and plenty of motivation to bring back to our chapter!

We’re so excited to put what we learned into action and make this FFA year one to remember! Here’s to a year full of leadership, growth, service, and making a difference! 💙💛

This weeks topic: agriculture inventions🚜✨

Students worked as a team to create replica ag inventions. Within their team they had to design their project, get creative with materials they could find around the room, and work on their problem solving skills.

When they were done with their mini inventions, each group had to present their ag invention and teach the class how it impacted agriculture as we know it today!

Overall, students mastered knowing their history, working on their leadership skills, and having fun along the way!

PS: some of their replicas actually worked‼️

‼️EXCITING NEWS‼️

Our chapter has exciting news to share! We have finalized our chapter theme for this year. Our theme is “Saddle Up for Success”. Our theme was hand picked by our 2026-2027 officer team to reflect our chapter, the future of our program, the values of FFA, and our expectations for the year!

Our t-shirt presale is now live starting today until September 11th. The t-shirt design is linked below along with the link for purchase if you would like to support our chapter. T-shirts for active FFA members will be $20 and community members/chapter supports will be $25.

In honor of today being Moore Haven Middle-High Schools first football game, our class competed in a Ag Careers Draft! Students were able to explore many different agriculture careers they did not know existed. 💛💙

📣📣 OFFICER SPOTLIGHT📣📣

Y’all already know what time it is‼️ our Thursday spotlight is reserved for our parliamentarian— Hunter Romine!

Hunter loves being an active member of FFA because it gets him out of his comfort zones and boosts his horizons.

His one piece of advice to new members would be to just try any competition because it will end up being fun!

PS: Hunter’s favorite FFA memories are working on pasture days!

Happy Wednesday and midway through the first week back to school! Our officer spotlight today goes to our reporter— Karson McNeil!

Karson’s love and passion for the FFA comes the program helping him grow as a person and create bonds with so many new people. He also loves that FFA challenges him to step outside of his comfort zone!

Karson’s favorite FFA memory is his first time going to state convention!

Happy Tuesday and second day of school! We are closing out today with a highlight of our 2026-2027 chapter secretary— Makayla Rojo!

Makayla’s words of advice for any new members who plan to join our chapter are to try everything and just get fully involved.

Makayla is loves FFA because it there are constantly new ways to gain new skills and communicate with others. FFA has helped her not only grow as a student, but as a person.

Fun fact: you can catch her on the meat judging team! 🥩

Our first officer spotlight to kick off the 2026-2027 school year today is our chapter President- EASTON HEFLIN!

Easton’s words of advice for any new members looking to join our chapter is to do competitions and be willing to meet new people!

This year Easton looks forward to deepening his friendships with current FFA members and meeting potential new members!

Last week we had the pleasure of getting to tour Old Okeechobee Coffee Co. in Lakeport, FL. We had such a great time. I have never seen an operation so clean and well maintained.

I would like to take a moment and recognize that Agritourism is Agricultural Education! Agritourism is the most effective industry that I know of at bridging the gap between the “consumer” and the “grower”. Take Sutton Milk, aka Milking R Dairy for example: Their operation has been involving the public for years now and what is the result? People LOVE it. They love the experience, they love knowing where their food comes from, and they want fresh locally grown food.

Let’s talk coffee for a second: Old Okeechobee Coffee Co. coffee is AMAZING and has been lighting up rooms all week as I slowly sip it in front of people (making them jealous). It is easy on the lips and the aroma gives it away.

Thank you Matt Davis and family for opening your doors to our FFA chapter and for giving us the grand tour!

I highly encourage you to sign up for a tour of their farm and to try their coffee!
