The East Haddam Food Bank is looking for donations for the Summer Meals Program! This program assists youth in our community who may be in need of additional support during the summer when school breakfast and lunch are not available.

Food Bank volunteers have set up an Amazon gift list with needed items. If you would like to donate by making a purchase, please click the link below. Financial donations can be dropped off at the East Haddam Youth & Family Services office or mailed to PO Box 572, Moodus CT 06469. Checks should be made out to the East Haddam Food Bank.

As the hot weather hits and is expected to continue over the next few days, we wanted to share the states hot weather protocol for anyone in need of locating a cooling center.

Governor Ned Lamont today announced that due to a weather forecast indicating that Connecticut will experience a multi-day stretch of severely hot and humid conditions, he is directing the state’s Extreme Hot Weather Protocol to be activated effective at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2026, and continuing until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2026.
