A huge thank you to each of you who came out to support us yesterday by purchasing a walking taco. We are so grateful to Boyer’s Cash Store who donated the Fritos; Tricia & Shawn Jones who donated the pop. We are thankful for our community & happy to serve.

Today is the day! Please come support these non profits today for their fundraisers:
Monument Volunteer Ambulance- we are serving walking tacos for $8, 11-1, behind the senior building. Pop will be available for $2/can.
Silent Wave Horse Rescue- will be serving Root B**r Floats!
Monument Senior Center- this is their annual fundraising event for their operating costs for next year. There will be a delicious dinner, live, silent, & dessert auctions, as well as several door prizes. Event begins at 1 with kids games behind the senior building. Hope to see you there & thank you for your support!

Please come support the Monument Volunteer Ambulance as we have a fundraising lunch on Saturday, September 26. We will be serving walking tacos from 11am-1pm, $8 each, located at Monument Senior Center. After lunch, please stay to support the Monument Senior Center with their annual Buckaroo Festival. There will be a live, silent, & dessert auction throughout the afternoon/evening, as well as a delicious salmon & elk dinner. Thank you for your support of these 2 non-profits that are integral in our community.

Highway 26 is currently closed between Mitchell & the Ochoco Divide.

Hwy 26 between Mitchell and just West of the Crook County line is closed due to wildfires.

Great information from the Prineville Police Department. Also, please be aware of our community children riding bikes & playing outside during the summer months.

With the warmer weather, kids are spending more time outside playing in sprinklers, splash pads, and garden hoses.
Before turning on the hose, take a moment to check the water temperature first. A hose that has been sitting in the sun can contain extremely hot water, hot enough to cause burns, especially to young children and pets.

💧 Let the water run for a minute before use.
💧 Test the temperature with your hand first.

A few seconds of caution can prevent a painful injury. Stay safe, stay cool and enjoy your summer! ☀️😎
