Last night, our family had the honor and privilege to award our Foundations’ inaugural Scholarship to 4 incredible students. Congratulations to Lily Smith, Abby Uhl, Hayley Edelstein, and Emma Spoto.
This was one of the most meaningful moments in the history of Gracie’s Army for us.

These scholarships represent so much more than financial assistance. They represent resilience, compassion, leadership, and the power of giving back. Each recipient embodies the values that inspired the creation of Gracie’s Army Foundation and reminds us why this mission matters. These girls created the community and success of the Gracie’s Army Club and deserve all the recognition for it.

What began as our family’s journey through childhood cancer has grown into a community dedicated to supporting, uplifting, and creating opportunities for others. Seeing these four students recognized for their hard work and character is a milestone we will never forget.

Heaven has gained this angel of a human, our warrior, Joseph.
We honor his time with us, and how he showed us what true strength looks like. The time we shared with him and his family filled us with comfort and joy, and his heart and kindness will remain in all of us. We will continue to carry his light 🎗️

Samira is just 9 months old — a bright, smiley girl who lights up every room, especially when she spots an exit sign.

From her Mom: “After noticing subtle but concerning symptoms, we rushed her to the ER, where doctors discovered her heart had been pushed to the side and her lung compressed by fluid. That same night, Samira underwent emergency surgery to drain over 300 mL from her chest.”

“Further imaging revealed the cause — a very large abdominal mass blocking her lymphatic system. After days of procedures, testing, and waiting, Samira was diagnosed with Stage 4 Intermediate Risk Neuroblastoma.”

She is now at the tail end of Cycle 1 of chemotherapy, taking this journey one step at a time with incredible strength.

“Samira has always had a way of finding the exit light — and now, we’re all following her lead through this. “🎗️

Gracie’s Army is honored to stand beside Samira and her family every step of the way. 💛

It is with heavy hearts that we share our beloved Warrior Amarachi’s passing. Her magnetic connection to everything she graced leaves us with a gaping loss, but reminds us all of the light she shares. We were honored to walk this journey with her and will never forget her beautiful smile and her insatiable wit and charm. Our community rallied around her family and to witness that compassion and love is a reminder to us that there is such goodness in the world. Amarachi lifted us all. May her memory be a light to guide us to goodness, always. 🙏🏽🤍
