Hilltop Family Resource Center Hilltop’s Family Resource Center offers prenatal, children,
youth, family and adult services covering Delta, Montrose and
Ouray Counties.

Most services are provided FREE of charge. The Hilltop Regional Office administers the following programs in Montrose, Ouray and Delta counties:
Child & Family Division: Tandem Families, Family Connections, Nurturing Parenting, Uncompahgre Prenatal Program and Supervised Visitation
Youth Division: Diversion, SB94, Brown Center, Rural Initiative, Runaway & Homeless, Management Unit, PDD & UPS

On June 4, our Montrose Hilltop office received an unexpected and wonderful phone call. A representative from the new Amazon warehouse that recently opened in our area shared that they had $500 to donate and had chosen our office as the recipient.

Because they were unable to make a cash donation, they asked what items were most needed. Initially, I assumed they might be donating returned merchandise, but that wasn't the case at all. They wanted to purchase brand-new items specifically for our clients.

We let them know that certain sizes of diapers and pull-ups can be difficult for us to keep in stock. We also mentioned that full-size shampoo, conditioner, and deodorant are always appreciated, and if their budget allowed, a few blankets would be wonderful as well.

Just a few hours later, they arrived with every item we had requested! Not only that, but the individual pictured also asked how he could volunteer with Hilltop.

I love seeing a new business make such an immediate and meaningful impact in our community. Their generosity will help many local families, and we are grateful for their support.

Congratulations to Larry Dixon, recipient of Hilltop's Q1 Volunteer Mission Award!

Volunteers like Larry remind us that sometimes the most meaningful acts of service are the simplest ones.

Through Hilltop's Supporting Our Seniors program, Larry has dedicated more than 210 hours helping older adults get to medical appointments, grocery stores, and pharmacies. But his impact extends far beyond the ride itself. Through his kindness, compassion, and willingness to listen, Larry helps seniors feel connected, supported, and valued.

Whether he's assisting with community events, delivering cupcakes for a cause, or helping someone navigate a challenging day, Larry consistently demonstrates Hilltop's mission in action. His dedication helps older adults maintain their independence while fostering connection, dignity, and belonging throughout our community.

We are proud to recognize Larry as our Q1 Volunteer Mission Award recipient and grateful for the countless ways he makes a difference every day.
