Montrose Community Foundation is a dedicated nonprofit created in 1989 by and for the people of Montrose County and the surrounding communities. Founded on the principles of generosity, compassion, community and collaboration, MCF is a vital resource for local nonprofits facing challenging circumstances.

"We believe that real change begins with generosity and acts of kindness for a stronger, more connected community" (Executive Director).

Looking ahead, MCF is planning to expand its grant initiative programs and hopes to partner with more community members and organizations. Good news—the Fall 2025 Alpine Bank Community Matching Fund is now open. If your nonprofit is in Delta, Montrose, or Ouray County, this program helps cover KVNF underwriting so you can reach listeners across our ~10,000-sq-mile region.

At a glance

Match: Alpine Bank matches $200–$400 total per organization per calendar year
(You can receive multiple awards, up to a $400 yearly max.)
