SUNDAY FREE FOOD DISTRIBUTION

Join us this Sunday for our weekly FREE Food Distribution!

Grace Place Collaborative

1:00–2:30 PM
We are scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM, but if our amazing volunteers get everything set up and ready early, we may open the doors a little early.

ALL ARE WELCOME!

You do NOT need to live in Montrose or Wright County. If you could use some extra food, we want you here. No judgment. No need to explain. Just come see us.

A few reminders to help everything run smoothly:

Food is first come, first served. Selection and quantities vary each week, and some items may run out.

Please bring your own bags or boxes if you have them.
You may pick up for your household OR another household on your first trip through the line.

If you need to pick up for one additional household, please take your first order to your vehicle and then return to the end of the line. You will need to provide the household information for the additional family.
**NOTE: Someone from the family you are picking up for must call us to let us know you are authorized to pick up for them. They must call by the Friday before the distribution.

Please follow all posted limits. Limits help us make sure there is food available for as many families as possible.

Do NOT block our neighbors' driveways. Even for "just a minute." Our neighbors need to be able to come and go.
Please do NOT park behind the Post Office. That area is not available for Grace Place parking.

Bags, boxes and other belongings do not hold your place in line. You must remain present to keep your spot.

Distribution ends at 2:30 PM, or earlier if the available food has been distributed.

And most importantly, please be kind—to our volunteers, to one another, and to our neighbors. We're all here for the same reason: to make sure good food gets into the hands of people who can use it.

Whether this is your first visit or you've been coming every Sunday, we're happy you're here.

Come get some good food. Say hello. Let us take care of you a little.

WOW. Just WOW.

Our community continues to amaze me.

This morning we put out a very last-minute call asking for a few extra hands to help with our Second Harvest truck delivery. With a large delivery on the way and the fall sick bug hitting some of our regular crew, we knew we needed help.

And you answered. Immediately.

Several people showed up this morning ready to jump in, unload food, move boxes and do whatever needed to be done. Because of you, we got that truck unloaded and all that food one step closer to the neighbors who will take it home this Sunday.

There are moments like today when I’m reminded just how special this community really is. We asked for help, and you showed up. No big production. Just neighbors helping neighbors.

THANK YOU to everyone who came out this morning and to everyone who shared our post or offered to help. And to our regular volunteers who are home under the weather — rest up and feel better!

Food is what we do, and love is how we do it.

That is Grace Place. 💜

SHORT-NOTICE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED THIS MORNING!

It looks like the fall sick bug has officially found its way to our crew! We’re a little short-handed this morning for our Second Harvest truck delivery and could really use a few extra sets of hands.

We know this is VERY short notice, but if you’re available and can be at Grace Place around 9:00–9:15 this morning, we would be so grateful!

We have a large delivery coming in today, and this is definitely one of those mornings when many hands make light work. If you have a little time to spare, come join us and help us get all that food unloaded and ready for our neighbors!

There are many of you that have expressed that you cannot make it to the pet food distribution each month due to work or other commitments. Please see below for another option if you are in need of some help. We do not know exactly what it takes to qualify so please email Crossroads at the email address listed below. They can help determine if you qualify to receive pet food from their organization.

Crossroads Pet Pantry
This program was developed to provide short-term support for pet owners who are struggling financially by offering assistance with pet food and necessary supplies, allowing them to keep their pets at home and prevent surrender or abandonment.

Target Audience:
Pet owners facing temporary financial hardship (e.g., job loss, medical emergencies) Seniors, low-income families, and individuals with disabilities who need assistance. Individuals recovering from disasters or emergencies.

A message from Grace Place Director Kim:

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about Grace Place and all of our volunteers. ❤️

Week after week, you show up.

You unload trucks. You move boxes. You stock shelves. You sort food. You open doors. You greet our neighbors. You clean up messes. You carry things, organize things, move things AGAIN because apparently that’s just what we do around here. 😂

And sometimes you do all of that when you’re tired, when life is busy, or when you could very easily be spending your Sunday somewhere else.

But you show up.

I hope you know how much that means to me—and how much it means to Grace Place.

When I look around during a distribution and see our volunteers working together, laughing together and welcoming the people who walk through our doors, I’m reminded that Grace Place isn't just about food.

Yes, food is what we do.

But love really IS how we do it.

Every box you lift, every shelf you stock, every smile you give and every person you make feel welcome is part of that love.

Grace Place has grown tremendously, and some Sundays are downright crazy. There are a LOT of moving pieces behind the scenes to make those couple of hours happen. None of it would be possible without people willing to roll up their sleeves and say, “What do you need?”

So from my heart—thank you.

Thank you for giving your time.

Thank you for giving your energy.

Thank you for caring about our neighbors.

Thank you for believing in what Grace Place is doing.

And thank you for continuing to show up alongside us.

I may not say it nearly enough in the middle of the Sunday craziness, but please know this:

You matter here. You are appreciated here. And Grace Place is better because you are part of it.

Food is what we do, and love is how we do it.

That is Grace Place. ❤️
