Today we celebrate someone whose love and talent have filled our bellies and our hearts for the past 20 summers—our incredible camp cook, Miss Cookie.
From the very first dinner bell ringing to the final plate scraped clean, Cookie has turned simple meals into lifelong memories. Who could forget the warm, cheesy scalloped potatoes and ham, or the smell of apple crisp drifting from the kitchen during Spiritual Life class.
Her fruit pizza and pumpkin bars are the stuff of legends and always gone in 60 seconds. And don’t even get us started on her brownies… fudgy perfection that somehow made every day feel like a special occasion.
Here’s to the laughs, the secret recipes, the legendary food, and the love that goes into every bite. Camp wouldn’t be the same without you!
Ask any camper or counselor what they miss most, and odds are her cooking is at the top of the list. But more than that, it’s her laughter from the kitchen, her quiet acts of kindness, and her unwavering love that have made her a camp treasure.
