Help us support one of our own.

Sara Morales, a member of our MADA family and mom to a young child, was recently diagnosed with leukemia and is currently in Denver beginning treatment. She and her family have a long road ahead, and we’d love to help ease some of the burden. (You may recognize her grandma, Joannie Sandoval at senior meals on Tuesdays, where she helps provide the meals! 😉)

Gift cards for gas, food, lodging, Visa, or other necessities can be dropped off at MADA, 17 N 6th Street, Montrose. Tax-deductible donations can also be made via Venmo .

Every little bit helps. ❤️ Please share!

Tortilla Flats Memory Collection Project 🧡

MADA and History Colorado’s Museum of Memory have been working together throughout the past year to collect, preserve, and celebrate the stories and history of the Tortilla Flats community.

Next week, we invite past and present Tortilla Flats community members to join us for our final photo and document scanning opportunity and community meeting before we begin bringing the project to life!

Final Photo & Document Scanning
October 15 | 9 AM–4 PM
Ute Indian Museum | 17253 Chipeta Rd.

Community Meeting
October 15 | 5–7 PM
MADA | 17 N. 6th St.

Bring your photos, documents, stories, and memories and then join us that evening to help decide how this history should be shared back with the community, from murals and photo collections to other creative ideas.

After a year of gathering memories, now it’s time to decide what we create with them.

Sign up here to bring your documents to be scanned for preservation: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdVd6P4RQihqrdIRZcfQAOsSZ0Kl0m1naIcK94dFOmU0ZSXyg/viewform
