Montpelier History Club

Montpelier History Club A student-centered organization saving the history of Montpelier, Indiana one story at a time. This group is open to students in 2nd grade through 8th grade.

The Montpelier History Club is a student-centered group interested in studying and sharing both local and state history with the public. We will be meeting every Wednesday at Grace Community Church of Montpelier, Indiana from 3:30 until 5:30. As a group we will study the history of Montpelier, Indiana, the state of Indiana, famous Hoosiers, and we will begin work on the next Montpelier documentary film.

Our rummage sale will be open this Saturday afternoon from 1:00 - 4:00 at 117 West High Street in Montpelier, Indiana. We have restocked all three of our rooms with treasures from the building. All proceeds will go towards the preservation of the Shull & Leonard Block. Come help us save history!

We love it when treasures from the building find good homes. That absolutely happened with this old display case. The last business in our building was Lyle Town’s Want-It Shop (which closed around 2004). This display case has sat in the building since then. Empty. Not anymore!

It now has a new home at Hidden Treasured Antiques and Goods located at 234 West Pearl Street in Dunkirk, Indiana.

Friday: 12:00-6:00
Saturday: 10:00-6:00

Thank you to everyone who took the time to stop in and visit our sale over the past two days. We really enjoyed visiting with you all and appreciate the support! We raised over $500 this weekend to help pay off our brick work.

We will restock the rummage room and will be open again next Saturday afternoon from 1:00-4:00! Come see us ☺️
