We are so close!! We only need to raise $1,700 more to complete our match for the Heritage Park restroom installation. So far, the project has raised $55,800 so we humbly ask for your help with this last sprint to complete this project. This week please message us, drop off a check at Montpelier City Hall made payable to the Montpelier Community Foundation or use the link below. Your donation to use a card on this link can be free, just type in zero in the drop-down box. You can make a real difference with even the smallest donation.

With contributions from individuals, families, businesses and various grants, we have assembled a unique and beautiful park that has seen consistent use in the past year. The park has been used for formal and impromptu concerts, a late-night movie, a family reunion and even a high school prom. Many tourists and residents have also grabbed a local pizza and enjoyed the nice, shaded picnic tables while learning about Montpelier’s history from the six interpretive murals.

Please join us in making this dream complete and help the downtown business district continue its comeback. All donations will be recognized by a donor wall plaque to be placed on the restroom facility.

Donations can be mailed to: Montpelier Community Foundation, 830 Washington Street, Montpelier, ID 83254. In addition, we do accept credit cards on the featured project link below feel free to contact me at (208) 251-2021 if you have any questions. You can donate a fee to Zeffy.com or click the drop down link and set the fee to zero. We receive 100% of your donation.

Thank you so much for your support of our Montpelier community!

Sincerely,

Steve Allred, President

Even with weird weather today, volunteers from the Rotary Club, Young Single Adult Branch and the Montpelier Community Foundation braved the elements and completed a clean up of Heritage Park in downtown Montpelier, 2.5 large garbage bags of weeds were pulled and volunteers used several blowers to blow off accumulated refuse off the turf and the picnic tables were set out. In recent weeks, the city sprayed weeds there and repaired two signs in the park. Kudos and a huge thanks to the many hands that helped out on a cold day. Heritage Park is ready for you!

Please support the city’s watering schedule to conserve our precious water.

Please remember that Governor Brad Little signed an emergency drought declaration for all 44 Idaho counties last month. Record-low snowpack and an unusually warm winter have put a serious strain on our water supply.🚨 Reminder on Permanent Watering Hours:Regardless of the season, watering hours are permanent and always in effect.Let’s work together to conserve. Please share this post to help spread the word! 💧🏠
