Just for Kickz

It’s amazing this all started 11 years ago with a very big dream of Jade! She never doubted what help she could provide while I (mom) in my head wasn’t quite as sure!

Here we are many years down the road having helped so many! Jade started out giving gently used shoes that we cleaned and replaced laces if needed. As the years passed she was blessed by her community in a way that allowed her to not only purchase new shoes but also a shoe barn and a shoe trailer!! She then became a giving partner of Bombas socks!

Jennifer Herrington Wright & Liv…how do we even say thank you for all you have done to help along this journey! We love you!

I’ve lost count at how many shoes given but she is over 10,000 probably closer to 15-20,000 pair! She has also raised money for Kickz over the years of just over $30,000! Plus raising money for Williams County Dare and others (that are currently slipping my mind)

The last year has presented some significant challenges for our family (who help run Kickz). Jade and I were in a significant car accident last October and I (mom) have been dealing with the effects of that including multiple surgeries and a head injury. Jade thankfully had minor injuries 💕

Jade will be graduating cosmetology school on Monday September 30th and I am beyond proud of her. With her graduation and possible move soon and my health Jade has decided it is time to “close the door” here at Kickz. While it is sad to see it end the joy in the help she has given over the years brings such joy!

Her shoe trailer will be making a journey down to Kentucky to a place that was part of the beginning of this journey and to two people who we have grown to love! Hills and Hollers is where Jade took many shoes. Jim & Rita have now started a new ministry where this trailer will be used to transport large items for people who desperately need it.

I would like to introduce to you a new volunteer we have in our Kickz barn.

Tatum has been volunteering to meet the requirements of his Presidential Scholarship at Northwest State Community College! He has been a HUGE help in picking out the perfect shoes for the requests received as well as organizing shoes in the barn!

Tatum is a hard worker and much appreciated by us here at Kickz!!

Today our youth group helped us deliver socks to Woodburn Children’s Home 💗. We are working on taking back new shoes for each of the kids!

It is with great sadness that we must share our Board President and Treasurer have stepped down. Bruce & Kim have been with us since the beginning. They will be moving closer to family for a new adventure God has provided! They have been Some of Jade’s biggest fans along the way. We will miss them and all they have contributed! We love you Bruce Goosman & Kim Goosman and will miss you oh so much!

Please help us wish them well on their new journey! ❤️

Just wanted to give a Kickz update! As for many since 2020, things have changed. Here at Kickz that has shown itself in the form of not being able to purchase shoes like we once did.

Prior to 2020, we could go to Walmart or Meijer and purchase multiple shopping carts of shoes keeping our shoe barn and shoe trailer fully stocked while not paying more than $10 per pair of shoes. Unfortunately, I have not been able to do this in about 1.5 years and I have not seen more than 2-3 pair of shoes at a time for less than $20-$30.

What does that mean for Kickz? We will continue to provide as many socks as needed as this is not a issue. We will do our very best to provide shoes but please be patient and understanding if we are not able to provide that need at this time. We are praying this corrects itself (or we can find someone who can help with grant writing) and we can return to how things were prior to 2020!

As always we do accept new tennis shoes as a donation!
