Shidaa Projects Inc. Our ‘Help-the-Needy” project is an innovative way in which we have touched the lives of needy families, individuals, and schools in Ghana.

Shidaa Projects is a Vermont based nonprofit organization focused on sharing West African culture by conducting workshops and performances in schools and community organizations in Vermont and New England. In the last 2 years, our organization diversified its operations and embarked upon collecting reusable household goods and filling shipping containers to send to Ghana for distribution to the ne

edy. Our team receives free donations and collects second-hand products of good quality and in reusable condition. The United States, often called the Land of Plenty, offers an abundant variety of used goods that bring smiles to the faces of the less privileged in Ghana.

Another Fabulous collaboration with Lost Nation Theater!

We are all so lucky to have the partnership of Shidaa Projects and Samuel Marquaye as co-choreographer on our Theater For Kids BY Kids production of THE LION KING-KIDS! (Happening This Weekend!)

Dancer, choreographer, percussionist and comic actor Samuel Maama Marquaye joined Shidaa Projects in the fall of 2023. Former Artistic Director for the award winning Shidaa Cultural Troupe in Africa, Maama arrived in Vermont with a mission to not only grow his own experiences and performance style but to join Artistic Director Jordan Mensah in taking Shidaa to the next level.

FLYNNZONE FAMILY NIGHT returns on June 18 with SHIDAA PROJECTS: WEST AFRICAN DANCE & DRUMMING!

Led by Ghanaian drummer Jordan Mensah and dancer Samuel Maama Marquaye, these free family-friendly workshops for kids ages 5-10 and their caregivers will feature percussion, movement, and cultural celebrations of Ghana and West Africa.

Dance workshop: 5:30 pm
Drumming Workshop: 6:20 pm
