My book on Titanic is done. Unless something changes - it will be called:
TITANIC - my story. It is now in the hands of my editor, and I hope to have it out by the end of January, 2022. As I mentioned previously, the book includes those passengers that were local to my area - Watkins Glen, Ithaca, Rochester, Geneva and what was involved in overseeing 13 Titanic dinners - all on April 14. Stay tuned.

It has been almost 9 years since we held the 100th Anniversary Dinner of Titanic in Watkins Glen, home of Elizabeth Barrett Rothschild. For almost 15 years I researched the passengers who lived or settled in this region of New York State. I held 10 Titanic dinners at my former restaurant, always on April 14, two at my former B&B, and the last in Watkins Glen at the Harbor Hotel - and thus this FB page. Since my last "check-in" another 1000 plus people have "liked" this page and over 2000 "follow" it - whatever that means. I currently am the wine educator at Wagner Vineyards on Seneca Lake and have just published my first book, "Looking at Wine Through a Different Window," available on Amazon. I am currently working on my second book - a book about my years researching Titanic. I have uncovered information about several of the passengers that has never before been known. I hope to have the book out at the end of the year. I am now 12,000 words into the book and writing about dinner 3, and William Hull Botsford. Stay tuned.....

Hello everyone. This is John Pulos who designed this page and was the chairman of the committee that planned the 2012 dinner that this page was built for. For ten years, at my former restaurant, I held a Titanic Dinner – always on April 14. Each year, I researched a passenger from the ship that had ties to our upstate New York area. I became a world authority on Elizabeth Barrett Rothschild and William “Hull” Botsford. We were a very busy restaurant that my father opened in 1949 – and each year, Titanic was our biggest day. The Titanic Dinner held at the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel came off perfectly. The amazing part of all of this is how you have, after 3 years, found this page. Just a month or so before this years April’s (2015) Titanic anniversary, this page had about 250 friends. The page now approaches 1000 “friends.” Thank you.

claudette's International Designing Women, LLC provided this display of the "Unsinkable Molly Brown" for the reception hour of the Titanic dinner. Claudette Doran actually worked on the 1964 academy award nominated film. The dress is the actual one worn by Debbie Reynolds in the movie. The Harbor Hotel reception area was the perfect setting for the display. Local Timeless Treasures was the official photograher for the event.

Elizabeth Barrett Rothschild NEVER spoke of her Titanic experience. He godson, Thomas Leary, gave me a copy of Martin's Last Will and Testament. He also gave me a copy of the statement that Elizabeth had to give in Surrogates Court in New York City on May 17, 1912. The statement was necesary to declare Martin officially dead - she had to relive the experience. She never spoke of it again. The documents are listed below.
