ATTENTION: This event has been canceled.

The fiber art class scheduled for Oct 24 has been cancelled due to lack of sufficient registrations. We will postpone until Nov 21st, our next Super Saturday event. Please watch for the new registration for November. This is a Make-n-Take Quilting Class. 4-Hers will be making one quilt panel to take home and one to be added to a group exhibit at the 2027 NYS Fair. This is a no sew class. See you in November!

Did you miss this weekend’s Fiber Art Fun? Here are a few highlights of the No-Sew Fabric Pumpkins made by the club members.

This month’s club learned about the history of Kimekomi dolls and how one technique from a historical traditional craft can be carried over to create a new craft idea. The project was such a hit that the youth took home extra supplies to keep practicing and show the technique to their families.

We are looking forward to next month’s meeting and hearing from members and their families about their experiences of trying the project again at home.

Next month’s Kinusaiga project will build on the techniques learned from Saturday. Stay tuned for the announcement of the next meeting date and time.

Happy "Dolly Day" (9/25) Everyone!

Don't forget, Cornell Cooperative Extension Schuyler County (CCESC) will be taking part in "Dolly Day" today. Help us keep the passion Dolly had for gifting books to all children today through a donation to our dedicated fund that supports the Dolly Parton Imagination Library in Schuyler County.

CCESC works in partnership with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library to provide books to children under the age of five in Schuyler County with no cost to families who enroll. We are able to provide this opportunity to families through generous donations along with a small amount of grant funding.

Join Us!

4-H Sparks Club Esports is back for more fun.

October 3rd, November 7th and December 5th, 2026
1 pm to 3 pm

Free For Ages 8 to 18

Youth will play games, learn about good sportsmanship and effective communication, and work together to set goals for the year. We’ll also plan upcoming tournaments and events. Snacks will be provided to keep everyone energized and motivated throughout the meeting.

Feel free to bring your gaming device and favorite games and join us!

Join us and discover all that 4-H Fiber Arts Club has to offer!

From traditions, culture and history to creativity, confidence, skill building and so much more, your youth will enjoy exploring the different fiber arts projects within the Fiber Arts Club.

Learn how the tradition and history of the creation of Japanese Kimekomi dolls is an inspiration of our upcoming No Sew Fabric Pumpkins project.
