Introducing the Kindness Coalition LOT Community Fund!

Throughout the year, trusted partners in our communities bring needs to our attention. When they do, we want to respond quickly and effectively.

That’s why we created the LOT Community Fund.

Through the generosity of those who support Kindness Coalition, we are intentionally setting aside resources so that when a trusted partner brings a need to us, we don’t always have to start with a fundraiser. We can start by asking, “How can we help?”

It’s one more way we’re working to make kindness more responsive, practical, and impactful throughout the communities we serve.

We’re excited to share what’s coming next from Kindness Coalition: Blessing Boxes!

The photo below is a concept of what we’re working toward, and now we’re inviting our community to help us make it happen.

Our goal is to raise the funds to place as many Blessing Boxes as possible with churches, organizations, and businesses throughout our 45-mile service area around Monticello.

Each Blessing Box we’re able to fund will include the box itself and its first fill of food and basic necessities. From there, the host location will care for and restock its box so it can continue serving neighbors right in that community.

There isn’t a set number of blessing boxes already waiting to go. How many we can provide will depend on how much we’re able to raise. Every financial gift toward this initiative can help us put another resource within reach of someone who needs a little help. It’s simple. It’s practical. And it’s exactly what we love seeing happen: Neighbors taking care of neighbors.

Follow us and share with someone you know who might be interested in supporting this campaign to help communities fight hunger and make sure our neighbors have access to food when they need it most. Stay tuned for more info!!

Great things are coming!

The Kindness Coalition Board met tonight at An Extra Scoop in Monticello, and we made some exciting decisions about what’s ahead. We can’t share everything just yet, but stay tuned!

A big thank you to Felicity for hosting us! We appreciate her heart for our community and the way she supports neighbors taking care of neighbors. 🍦❤️

Did you know this about our team members?? We had a little fun making this one! You’ve seen what Kindness Coalition does…but how well do you know the people behind it?
