Every week, 6 strangers gather in a room to discuss the one thing they have in common. Grief. This week, their leader no shows, leaving them to sort out their feelings with only each other to rely on. It’s a gritty, raw “Breakfast Club” for the recently bereaved.

This is a story about Grief.

The story is about a grief support group that meets weekly and this particular week their counselor doesn’t show up so the group goes a little off the rails. It is a fantastic, incredibly relatable show.

We are all on a grief journey and I promise you will find yourself in one of these characters.

Grief is something that touches every person equally, no matter your political views, or your religion, or your age, gender, race, or anything else. We have all experienced loss, and will experience it many times in life. In this play, 6 strangers meet for a grief support group, only to find their counselor missing. They opt to run the group themselves, which leads to a raw, unfiltered but beautiful look at grief, loss, and trauma and the human heart.

*Note* This show does contain some adult language and strong themes around loss and death, so we recommend it to older kids, teens, and adults.

Monticello Community Theatre is currently hiring!

We are looking for the following things:

Teachers - Musical Theatre, Music, Dance, Theatre, Improvisation, Stage Combat, Etc. We are in the process of developing a Children's Theatre Program, with underprivileged children's performing arts classes potentially funded through a scholarship fund. We are ready to start teaching now, and have a space arranged and a pay system set up, and community ed is ready to advertise, but we need teachers.

Classes will begin in January.

Theatre Degree or equivalent is recommended but is not mandatory. Experience will be considered, and willingness and experience working with kids is the most important quality we are looking for.

Show Staff - Our fall show is staffed, however we will be looking for a staff for our spring show, which we will be discussing at the next meeting.
