🌟 A HUGE THANK YOU! 🌟

What an incredible day at our 4th Annual Bags for Hope Charity Co****le Tournament!

Thank you to everyone who came out to play, cheer, volunteer, donate, shop, bid, buy raffle tickets, visit our Wellness Resource Fair, and simply spend the day with us. And a special thank you to our amazing DJ, vendors, sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who helped make this event possible! Every person who showed up, donated an item, gave their time, shared our event, or supported us in any way helped make a difference.

Bags for Hope is about more than co****le. As our primary fundraiser, the $6,400 (and rising) in gross funds raised will help Hope in a Hopeless World continue our mission. Your generosity allows us to provide peer connection, support, outreach, and opportunities for hope within our community – all to remind people that they don't have to walk through hard things alone.

Today Is About Hope - Rain or Shine!!

Today isn't just about a bags tournament.
It isn't just about fundraising.

It's about people.
It's about every person who found the courage to walk through our doors.
Every volunteer who showed up.
Every donor who believed in our mission.
Every hug.
Every tear.
Every laugh.
Every "I'm glad it's not just me."

We can't wait to see you all today!!

Schedule of Events:
11 AM: Check-In/Registration begins
12 PM: Tournament starts
11 AM - 2 PM: Wellness Resource Fair
2 PM - 5 PM: Ice Cream Sales
3 PM: 50/50 Raffle Drawing
3:30 PM: Silent Auction closes
4 PM*: Announce Tournament Winners
*Time subject to change depending on pace and timing of tournament games.

Tomorrow, We Gather.

Tomorrow isn't just a co****le tournament.

It's not just a fundraiser.

It's a reminder of what can happen when a community decides that mental wellness matters.

Tomorrow, people from our support groups will be there, their family and friends. Our volunteers. Our board members.
Community providers. Neighbors. Friends.

People who have attended one support group.
People who have attended dozens.
People who have never attended a group but believe everyone deserves hope.

Some have experienced anxiety, depression, trauma, loss.
Some simply want to help make sure no one has to face those things alone.

They all have different stories. Different backgrounds, ages, beliefs, experiences.

Yet tomorrow, all of those people will gather in one place because they believe something bigger than themselves.

They believe that connection matters.
They believe that showing up matters.
They believe that hope is worth investing in.

When I stop and think about everyone who will be there tomorrow, I'm overwhelmed with gratitude.

Not because of how many people will attend.
But because of who they are.

Ordinary people choosing to care for one another.
Ordinary people proving that community still exists.
Ordinary people reminding us that hope is never meant to be carried alone.

That is a powerful group of people. 💙

People sometimes ask how Hope in a Hopeless World got started.

The truth is, it didn't start with us having all the answers.

We reached out to an established nonprofit because we wanted to bring a support group to our community.

They gave us the opportunity & they gave us a mentor.

He spent time teaching us, answering questions, and helping us understand what makes a support group work well.

Those early conversations shaped so much of what we still do today.

When that organization stopped offering support groups during and after COVID, we chose to keep ours going.

Looking back, we're incredibly grateful that someone was willing to invest in us.
