We are now closed for intake, as we are receiving an owner surrender on Tuesday.

Ayla is a senior Standardbred mare with what appears to be DSLD. I'm already preparing a treatment plan for her.

I'm very excited to meet her and will be sharing endless updates soon!

Wakinyan Aglipi update!

At four months, his butt is almost as high as his mom's.

He's going to be a big boy. 🥂

Update on Esmeray and Hrimfaxi....

Weight gain for Esmeray is slow but steady. She'll never have a round back because of her deformity.

They seem very happy.

Sunday photo dump! The focus today is on the north herd.

Minerva Moonsong's training is coming along beautifully.

The vet said only light riding for now. Though she has mild arthritic changes in her right hock, she is not lame on it. At all.

I'm going to ask my vet if we can move into a canter and explore shorter trails with her..

This is the mystery mare from Michigan from 6 months ago that had a freezebrand that looks like a Standard red but isn't. I called the USTA and spoke with two people. The brand doesn't follow their letter/number conventions. They also backed into black mares with her specific markings. There is no brand error. She's not one of theirs by registry.

I believe her to be a DHH/Standardbred cross. Possibly DHH/Percheron? Multiple people say that there is a group of private breeders who use neck freeze brands to identify certain Amish lines.

Regardless, she didn't know anything at first. Now she's collecting and moving off leg pressure.

She's a very good egg.
