Danielle Enberg Kidney Fund This page is here to help raise prayers, and funds for Danielle who is a stage 5 Wilm's Tumor survivor, and is in need of a second kidney transplant.

Danielle was diagnosed with stage 5 Wilm's Tumor 12 days before her first birthday. She was given a less then 3% chance of survival. The cancer was bi-lateral, which means that it was in both of her kidneys. The doctors tried to save her kidneys, but that was not God's plan for her. The cancer ended up taking both of her kidneys, and she had to have a kidney transplant in order to survive. On Sept

ember 23, 1993 she received her kidney transplant. Everything went well until January 27, 2012. This was the day that Danielle found out that her transplant of, then 18+ years, was rejecting. This meant that she will be needing a second kidney transplant within the next 2-5 years.

Asking for prayers from my mom. She crashed while biking with her girls, and now they think that she may have fractured the disk at the top of her spine fusion. Prayers that they fusion is still stable, so that all she will have to do heal is just REST.

Just got my lab results back, and my GFR is back up to 36!!!!!!! God is good :)

Praises are going up to the lord today!!!!! I had my 6 month check-up at the U today, and my donor specific anti-bodies (that are causing my kidney to reject) are G-O-N-E....GONE!!!!!!! My doctor said that he has never seen this happen before, and that it is God's work!!!! All I can say is I am truly blessed, and God is GOOD!!!!!!!

Just got my lab results back from today.....they are FANTASTIC!!!!!!! My GFR (filtration rate) went from 32% last month to 40% this month!!!!!! And that is great news!!!!!!!!! I want to thank you all for your prayers and thoughts!!! Like I've always said....Prayer truly does work :)

I am so honored to be helping out the Go Red movement tomorrow afternoon at the Mall of America!! Did you know that heart disease is the #1 killer of women? A woman dies EVERY MINUTE from heart disease!!!! But there is good news 80% of heart disease is PREVENTABLE!! As a childhood cancer survivor, I am at a very high risk for developing heart problems. So I do my part by helping the American Heart Association. If you're in the Twin Cities area tomorrow, be sure to join me at the Mall of America. One year ago today, my world got turned upside down. Today was the day that I learned that my kidney was in rejection. I immediately had a central line port placed into my chest, and had five treatments of apheresis, and five treatments of IVIG to try and stop the anti-bodies from forming. I spent the month of February traveling to the University of MN, and pulling a 15 credit schedule up at college. I am blessed beyond belief with wonderful friends and family like you!!! If it wasn't for your prayers, I don't know where I would be.
