If you've been following the page and seen some of the posts, it's no secret that The Rock has a new resident. She's not had a formal introduction, so consider this the official introduction of the newest and smallest equine member of The Rock. And if you haven't already, be sure to follow Tails From the Pasture. It will be the place to find all the latest updates, news, and stories from the pasture and other little critters who call the Rock home.

Good afternoon, Courage Rock fam,

We have started a new page (Kind of) for all herd news, stories, and all-around goofiness. We hope that you will stop by and like the page to stay up-to-date on all the four-legged creatures of the Rock.

We have a new face to officially introduce, and well, the rest of them never leave us bored. So, come join us at Tails From the Pasture (see what I did there? I know. I know. I'll see myself out).

Welcome to the new page. After fighting with it, I decided it was easier to use Hamster's page as the new one-stop place for Herd News and stories.

I hope those who joined for Hamster stay for stories and updates on the entire herd. As long as the peasant keeps up on her writing and updating duties, you won't regret it.

They say that when a horse's mane is knotted, a fairy took them out for a ride. The fairies have taken a few of our loves for a ride here of late. Here you see the mane of Blue, whose birthday we've been celebrating this month. His peasant says that thankfully this one was far easier to detangle than the one he had when he arrived five years ago.

As we close out Blue's birthday/arrival month, we prepare to celebrate Marley Man. Marley will turn sixteen next Saturday, Aug. 1. To get the ball rolling and to end Blue's month, we wanted to go ahead and get the herd's wishlist out there.

Wish list:

Dewormer
Salt Blocks
Nutrena Senior Feed
Alfalfa
Sweet Feed
Bedding
Psyllium
Hoof Supplements
Peppermints
Fly Spray
Purina Apple & Oat Treats (more for Mr. Hamilton Grey, as they are a bit more on the softer side)
A new halter for Sir Duke
Gift Cards to Tractor Supply or Rural King (for any of the above items)
Sponsoring a farrier visit for one of the locals
Sponsoring a vet visit for one of the locals
Sponsoring a bale of hay

Please know we appreciate you no matter what you do. Just being a fan of the Herd and the Rock is all that truly matters. So, if all you can do is share the Rock page, we appreciate that too. We couldn't do any of this without you.

The Rock arena has officially been in use for a couple of months now. Yesterday was the official ribbon-cutting ceremony. Several pictures and videos are already floating around, so you may have already seen them.

It was an amazing moment, as this has been a long time coming. There are so many donors and supporters to thank. The Horsewoman, and our founder, Kim, gave an amazing and emotional speech. It was a powerful moment, but we also know can still only reflect so much with words. As our community is there for us, we are for our community, because we couldn't have done it without it.

Seeing our veteran drill team and The Horsewoman perform was incredible. The Veterans and their equine partners have come so far and proved that when the moment matters, you'll even surprise yourself.

I'm not going to be able to do the day, Kim's speech, or the Drill Team's moment any justice whatsoever. There are just not enough of the right words, if there are any right words at all. Being there and being a part of this monumental moment was an honor. We thank everyone who came out, and we look forward to seeing what comes next.

I am late on posting this. I was trying to find the right words to go with this beautiful girl. Like all the herd, she deserves all the right words.

Flash and me, we go a long way back. She's laid back while also being feisty. She will test your riding skills, and love your patience. She will teach, and also heal you in her own little ways.

She turned 23 yesterday. So, while I dropped the ball on announcing the month of Flashy Leo McCue, it is still the month of Flashy.

Be sure to wish her a happy birthday, and if you would like to send her a gift, I can post the wishlist (you can also do a quick search through old posts). You can also donate to the Rock in her name. We appreciate you regardless. Even if you just like, comment, and or share this post.

πŸ΄πŸ’™ Volunteers Needed at Courage Rock! πŸ’™πŸ΄

Are you looking for a rewarding way to make a difference in your community? Courage Rock is looking for caring and dedicated volunteers to assist with our Therapeion classes, which give people of all abilities the opportunity to experience the joy, confidence, and freedom that comes from riding a horse.

Our therapeutic riding program helps participants build physical strength, improve coordination, develop confidence, and create meaningful connections with our incredible horses. Volunteers play a vital role by assisting riders, supporting instructors, and helping ensure each class is a safe and positive experience.

No horse experience is necessaryβ€”we provide training! All that's required is a willingness to learn and a heart for helping others.

✨ Make an impact.
✨ Meet amazing people.
✨ Experience the healing power of horses.

If you're interested in becoming part of the Courage Rock volunteer family, we'd love to hear from you! Comment below or send a message for more information on how to get involved.πŸŽπŸ’™
