Welcome to Monticello Baptist Church online! We’re grateful you’re worshiping with us today as we continue our sermon series, RENEW IN ME.

This Sunday, Pastor David Artessa will be preaching a message titled “Restored to Serve” from Psalm 51:13–17. Throughout David’s prayer, he has asked God to forgive, cleanse, renew, and restore him. But now the focus begins to change. David moves from what God is doing in him to what God can do through him.

God’s grace does more than forgive our past—He can redeem it. When we experience His mercy, our failures can become a testimony, our worship becomes personal again, and our restored lives can help point others back to Him. God’s restoring work in us becomes God’s redeeming work through us.

Welcome to Monticello Baptist Church online! We’re grateful you’re worshiping with us today as we continue our sermon series, RENEW IN ME.

This Sunday, Josh McMillian will be preaching a message titled “Wash Me Clean” from Psalm 51:7–9. As David continues his prayer of repentance, he recognizes that he cannot undo the stain of his own sin. He needs something only God can provide—cleansing, forgiveness, and restoration.

The good news of the gospel is that only God can cleanse what sin has stained and restore the joy that guilt has stolen. As we worship together, our prayer is that we would bring our sin honestly before the Lord and experience the grace and forgiveness He offers through Jesus Christ.

Welcome to Monticello Baptist Church online! We’re grateful you’re worshiping with us today as we begin a brand-new sermon series, RENEW IN ME.

Over the next several weeks, we will walk through Psalm 51, David’s deeply personal prayer of repentance and renewal. This Sunday, Pastor David Artessa begins with a message titled “When Sin Is Exposed.” Through David’s sin, his confrontation by Nathan, and his eventual cry for mercy, we’ll see that real renewal begins when we stop hiding and defending our sin and honestly bring it before God.

The good news is that when God exposes the sin in our lives, we don’t have to run from Him. Because of Jesus, we can run to Him, trusting not in the smallness of our sin, but in the greatness of His mercy.

Thank you to all who participated in the annual prayer walk yesterday. What a privilege to cover all our Jasper County Charter System schools and Piedmont Academy in prayer. We are trusting the Lord for a safe and blessed school year.

🍎 Serving Those Who Serve Our Community 🍎

One of our favorite traditions each year is serving lunch to the incredible educators in our community as they prepare for a new school year. Today, we had the privilege of blessing the faculty and staff at Jasper County High School.

We are so grateful for the teachers, administrators, and support staff who faithfully invest in the lives of students every day. We pray these small acts of kindness remind our educators how deeply they are appreciated, and we hope each of you has an incredible school year!

Unfortunately, we forgot to take pictures yesterday while serving the wonderful faculty and staff at Washington Park Elementary School. Still, we are just as thankful for the opportunity to encourage them. ❤️

And don't worry, Jasper County Middle School, Primary School, Pre-K, and Piedmont Academy—we're headed your way soon!
