🍬🍭 Minnesota’s Largest Candy Store! 🍭🍬 Last Sunday after the RenFest, we detoured to check off another MN icon off our bucket lists. Layla had been there before, but Freya and Evyn hadn’t (neither had committee member and chaperone, Gina), so we were all excited to go with Layla showing us around! 🍫 The girls each found classic candy from their childhood memories and ended up getting quite a few fun things to try! 🍫 Here’s what ambassador Evyn said about her first visit to the store: The building was spectacular, both out side and inside. Inside were settings from many movies. We saw Tangled, Frozen, The Little Mermaid, Harry Potter, and much more! Other than that was the insane amount of product! So much candy, both new and old, as well as a whole section dedicated to soda, fudge, pie etc. We all got some new treats to try and some classics to have again. My favorite sights to see was were either the ferris wheel of popcorn or the yards of bubble gum! It was a fun stop for sure! 🍭🍬🍭

Rewinding to last Sunday and our second day at the Renaissance Festival! 🏰👑👑👑🏰
Of the event, ambassador Layla said: The Renaissance Festival was incredible! It was my first time going and we had a blast! The time that we spent with the kids at teas and tiaras was so heartwarming. We got to see princesses including Moana and Repunzel on Sunday. The kids had lots of fun and were so cute and excited! When we weren’t at the teas and tiaras, we got to walk around the festival and check out all of the unique things about it. We ran into a few people from Monticello and got to snap some pictures with them! One of my favorite parts of the whole weekend was the amount of people at the festival that bowed down to us and said “your majesty”. All in all the festival was truly so magical and I’m so grateful we got to be a part of those days! ✨

Rewinding to last Saturday and Freya, Layla, and Evyn’s day at the Renaissance Festival! 🌻🏰 👑They were invited to help out at their “teas and tiaras” event and on Saturday along side the Jordan ambassadors, and Disney Princesses Elsa and Anna from Frozen were there, too! ❄️

Of the event, ambassador Freya said: The Renaissance Festival was such an amazing experience, it felt like we stepped back in time once we entered! I loved getting to see everyone’s costumes and exploring. While at Tea and Tiaras it was so fun getting to see all of the little kids excited to see princesses and getting to color pictures with them. ✨

Thank you to Layla’s parents for chaperoning the girls for this event!

Neat story from the girls’ time at the Renaissance Festival on Saturday:

This gentleman graduated from Monticello in 2011. He said he was hit on his bike by a truck and was in a coma for weeks and required dozens of surgeries. He said the ambassador program helped to raise money for his recovery and expenses at that time! He was very happy to see our current Monticello ambassadors! ✨

Special story time! ✨

At Wednesdays Back 2 School bash, the backpack supplies ran out fast! There was a little girl who noticed that there were kids who did not get one and she decided to come back and return all of her stuff so someone who needs it more can have it!

It brought us all to tears! The superintendent was there and bought her some mini donuts for her kindness!

Kudos to this sweet girl and her choice to make another child feel extra special with new supplies that she gave back! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Wednesday’s “Back to School Bash” was a big hit! 📚🎒📝

The girls volunteered their time to help out at this event. They enjoyed and meeting lots of new little friends and loved seeing their happy faces when they picked their own back packs and school supplies!
