We are not just a running club, we’re a TRIBE of runners who happen to pound the pavement and trails in and around Monticello, Arkansas. A tribe, by definition, is a family or a group with strong common traits or interests. Our tribe is certainly bound together by all things running, but what we thrive on most is COMMUNITY. We love that running connects us with people regardless of experience or a
bility level. We are serious runners who don’t take ourselves so seriously. What we do. We run together (except when we’re not). We blow snot rockets and sweat, stink, and chafe and even compete together, but we are always quick to celebrate each other’s accomplishments. We organize group runs, fun runs, and other training activities. We volunteer at races, host races and encourage running for fun, health, community, and so we can eat whatever the heck we want! Membership has it’s privileges. We believe that if you run, you are a RUNNER. Anyone, regardless of whether or not you’re a member can run with us on group runs and benefit from the knowledge of other experienced runners. So, if you’re just starting out or looking to push to the next level, come run with us. BUT, if you’re a member of the TRIBE, here’s what you get:
*A sweet Monticello Milers Running Tribe shirt to wear at races or training.
*The best darn cheering section where other tribe members are running or spectating
*Did we mention the sweet shirt?
*Weekly updates of upcoming races, group and/or training runs via social media & text messages (if you so choose)
*The opportunity to connect with other runners in our area to share favorite routes, training tips, organize runner meet-ups, or brag about a new personal best! How do I join the tribe? It's easier than falling off a log. Run. Buy a shirt. Wear the shirt. The ETHOS of our tribe
Raise your hand if you had to google ETHOS. A tribe grows best when it communicates efficiently and consistently invites people into their circle. We want the Monticello Milers Running Tribe to be a LIVE community of connected runners. So, if you join, wear that sweet tee at races or around town, join us for a few runs, contribute & communicate via social media (this page, Twitter, and Instagram using official hashtag ), and invite everyone you can think of to join us.
