❤️ Caught in the Act of Kindness

Sometimes the biggest stories aren't planned.

On Thursday, while visiting the Jefferson County R.J. Bailar Public Library - Florida, I witnessed a simple act that made me smile.

A gentleman stepped out for lunch...and when he returned, he surprised the wonderful librarian, Terez Washington, by bringing lunch back for him, too.

No fanfare.
No cameras.
Just genuine kindness.

Those quiet moments often say the most about a community.

So today's Caught in the Act of Kindness goes to David Dishman for reminding us that caring for one another doesn't have to be complicated.

🦋 You know what I love most about Jefferson County?

The women.

Seriously.

This little county is full of strong, kind, smart, hardworking women who pour their hearts into their businesses, their land, and this community. And today, I got to spend time with one of my favorites.

India welcomed me to "Pippa's Patch", and from the moment I pulled up, I felt like I'd been welcomed by sunshine and a southern dance in nature. Wildflowers, butterflies, buzzing bees, winding paths... and yes, a fabulous hidden pond.

While all of that is amazing the real magic isn't just the gardens...

It's "Pippa" herself.

She's authentic. She's generous. She's hilarious. She loves this land deeply, and instead of trying to control nature, she lets it flourish. There's something incredibly beautiful about that.

These are the women I love featuring in the Jefferson County Spotlight. The ones quietly making this community richer, kinder, and more beautiful just by being exactly who they are.

I'm sharing some of my favorite moments from today's visit, but don't worry 'cause this is just the teaser. Pippa and I will be sitting down for a live interview soon, and I can't wait for y'all to hear her story.

📍 WHERE IN THE WORLD IS THE JEFFERSON COUNTY SPOTLIGHT?

Right here in Jefferson County, FLORIDA the "Keystone County" and the ONLY county in the state that stretches all the way from the Georgia line to the Gulf of Mexico. 🌊🍑

We shine our Spotlight on the people and businesses across our whole beautiful county:

⭐ Monticello is our county seat and Jefferson County's only incorporated city (and my family's home for over 70 years)
⭐ Plus the communities that make this county what it is: Aucilla, Lamont, Lloyd, Wacissa, Waukeenah, Ashville, Capps, Drifton, Thomas City, and every crossroads in between.

Here's our favorite claim to fame: 🚦❌
Not a single traffic light in the entire county! From Georgia to the Gulf, it's all rolling hills, moss-draped oaks, and neighbors who wave you through the intersection.

That's not a lack of progress. That's a way of life. 💛
